Why is this video in HTML5 :o I think I'll take the MegaDrive from the closet and play Sonic 1, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 like my oldest brother does every christmas!
A younger friend of mine once said that Sonic Heroes was one of the best Sonic games he ever played. I showed him Sonic 3k and Knuckles ( I had the PC version at the time =/)....He changed his mind soon afterwards.
Sonic 1 introduced us 2 Sonic and Dr. Robotnik, Sonic 2, introduced us 2 the Chaos Emeralds, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles gave us the final tear inducing ending 2 this great saga. ^_^ And than Sonic 4 Episode 1 came out and now Sonic is still fighting Robotnik. Yet Sonic 4 E1 feels out of place. Oh well! ^_^
@Temjin99 True, yes they were but Sonic 1 introduced us to the SIX Chaos Emeralds and Sonic 2 introduced us to the SEVEN Chaos Emeralds. Plus the Emeralds played a bigger role in Sonic 2 than Sonic 1. But nevertheless your correct. ^_^
@dsaerno dude, I would always try to save a water/oxygen bubble with Sonic, so when i made it to that part I could bounce the barrel! That part was so effing hard, cuz you'd get stuck in the wall sometimes if you didn't do it right! (which may or may 'Not" have ended well!)

aahh... good times when i played it..... but when i 1st played it, i did not knew it was a combination of sonic & Knuckles and sonic 3. i always gotted stuck in the barrel on carnival night act 2, i did not saw the rest apart of that. my question about S3&K was when i played sonic 3 alone, i tried to search knux and i did not found him, now i know almost everything of sonic, and just remembering this, makes me want to play as i did when i was a kid =3
@TheHedgehogRoim To get past the barrel problem at Carnival Night Zone, you have to stand on it and press the Up and Down buttons and the barrel will bounce up and down, so you can escaped from it. And yes, I have played Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I have beat the game 9 times.

( ive beated the game like 7,6 or 8 times with hypersonic, hyperknux, tails, super tails, agen hyper knux and agen hypersonic, and i dont remember good if i did it with sonic,tails or knux at more times, i dont remember cause i haven't played that game since a big while)

Was lava reef zone originally planned to be after Mushroom Hill and before Flying Battery? In Sonic 1 Labrynth Zone was planned to come after Green hill but it got moved but they didnt change the credits music so it played the green hill music then the labrynth zone music after as it would have been. It's the same here with lava reef music playing after mushroom hill.
i remember that i was 4 years old when i first beat sonic 3. It was the first game i ever beat (inc. emeralds) And i still find it better than some games nowadays with better music

That's true. Despite the fact of me being a huge Sonic fan, I've always gravitated to the older Sonic games. However, you can't forget the Sonic Advance series on the GBA in which they were good. Along with that, Sonic Rush & Sonic Rush Adventure on the DS are awesome!
@Ghettoflame1 I admit sonic heroes was god awful but sega's come out with some good sonic games. Everyone's always hating on sonic saying "aww there's no more good sonic games" but I think that there are a lot of good games coming out.

my personal fav level was lava reef, the level were you fight knuckles if you were sonic or tails than watch him get zaped, than the last level if you had super or hyper sonic were you get to fly throw space chasing after eggman.
the reason alot of people call it S3&K is because originally sonic 3 and Sonic and knuckles were one game but time restraints force them to cut the game in half. If you've ever played either game and put the codes in you'll notice there were levels that you couldn't go on without attaching both games. Plus when you attach both games S3&K is on the screen. I know i used to say the same thing. And the endings are only different due to the Michael Jackson scandal.
I think Sonic 3's ending was a bit of a disapointment! As soon as you defeat the final boss Sonic and Tails just leap out at the screen. And the Sonic 3 credits should have had another medley, but instead they put a song that wasn't even recorded by Howard Drossin and SEGA sound team. MJ's Stranger In Moscow. Even Sonic 3D's credits had a better song, at least that was the normal band music.
It doesn't matter, SEGA could have made the ending much better than that, so what if it's Sonic 3 on it's own. The ending is poor compared to Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. And I don't care how much you're going to stick up for MJ and his crap song. There should be a Sonic 3 medley, that's what the fans wanted. Not that Stanger In Moscow shit. Sonic And Knuckles is the better half. I'm sorry but Sonic 3's ending is a dissapointment!

I do understand what you're saying but you're missing my point, I know Sonic 3 isn't suppose to end after Launch Base. But Sonic 3 can be played on it's own with out the other half. My original comment was SEGA could have put more of an effort in the ending after Launch Base. There's nothing to look at, and the song doesn't even sound like a Sonic song. i dont get y people dont call the game 'sonic and knuckles' insted of 'sonic 3 and knuckles' because although they were both out the same time; they r 2 dif games, 1 is called 'sonic the hedgehog 3' the other is called 'sonic and knuckles' and this song is the ending of 'sonic and knuckles' not sonic 3 and knuckles because there is no such game as sonic 3 and knuckles

Sonic CD is shit. The level design is shit, the American music is mundane and depressing, and the Japanese music is obnoxious. Fuck Overrated CD, Sonic 3 is the shit.
It's a return to the normal Sonic music with Sonic and Knuckles.Howard Drossin's back to bring the soundtrack back to it's roots,and there's no Michael Jackson or other 6 music composers to ruin the game! And the good thing is this music continues on through Sonic 3D Flickies Island. The great thing about the Sonic medleys is that you get a free tune at the start of every medley. Yeah!
This game is certainly the most accomplished of sonic series and always captived me! The atmosphere, the musics, the level design, the characters, the gameplay. There was an enormous thorough work from sega team's. sonic 3 (& knuckles) really possess a soul and this makes him unique and unforgettable.
Thank's sega and you to remember me an awesome videogaming experience!

That's true. Despite the fact of me being a huge Sonic fan, I've always gravitated to the older Sonic games. However, you can't forget the Sonic Advance series on the GBA in which they were good. Along with that, Sonic Rush & Sonic Rush Adventure on the DS are awesome!

Hm, I feel the same way. I didn't like Adventure 2 as much as the first (which is one of the better DC games I've played).

my personal fav level was lava reef, the level were you fight knuckles if you were sonic or tails than watch him get zaped, than the last level if you had super or hyper sonic were you get to fly throw space chasing after eggman.

the reason alot of people call it S3&K is because originally sonic 3 and Sonic and knuckles were one game but time restraints force them to cut the game in half. If you've ever played either game and put the codes in you'll notice there were levels that you couldn't go on without attaching both games. Plus when you attach both games S3&K is on the screen. I know i used to say the same thing. And the endings are only different due to the Michael Jackson scandal.

I think Sonic 3's ending was a bit of a disapointment! As soon as you defeat the final boss Sonic and Tails just leap out at the screen. And the Sonic 3 credits should have had another medley, but instead they put a song that wasn't even recorded by Howard Drossin and SEGA sound team. MJ's Stranger In Moscow. Even Sonic 3D's credits had a better song, at least that was the normal band music.

hell they planned flying battery to be in sonic 3 and cut it out at the last minute, they probably coded the ending in a rush

It doesn't matter, SEGA could have made the ending much better than that, so what if it's Sonic 3 on it's own. The ending is poor compared to Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. And I don't care how much you're going to stick up for MJ and his crap song. There should be a Sonic 3 medley, that's what the fans wanted. Not that Stanger In Moscow shit. Sonic And Knuckles is the better half. I'm sorry but Sonic 3's ending is a dissapointment!

I do understand what you're saying but you're missing my point, I know Sonic 3 isn't suppose to end after Launch Base. But Sonic 3 can be played on it's own with out the other half. My original comment was SEGA could have put more of an effort in the ending after Launch Base. There's nothing to look at, and the song doesn't even sound like a Sonic song. If the game was Sonic 3 and Knuckles only without playing seperate parts then I would agree with you, but it's split up into 2 diffrent parts.

i dont get y people dont call the game 'sonic and knuckles' insted of 'sonic 3 and knuckles' because although they were both out the same time; they r 2 dif games, 1 is called 'sonic the hedgehog 3' the other is called 'sonic and knuckles' and this song is the ending of 'sonic and knuckles' not sonic 3 and knuckles because there is no such game as sonic 3 and knuckles

It's a return to the normal Sonic music with Sonic and Knuckles.Howard Drossin's back to bring the soundtrack back to it's roots,and there's no Michael Jackson or other 6 music composers to ruin the game! And the good thing is this music continues on through Sonic 3D Flickies Island. The great thing about the Sonic medleys is that you get a free tune at the start of every medley. Yeah!

This game is certainly the most accomplished of sonic series and always captived me! The atmosphere, the musics, the level design, the characters, the gameplay. There was an enormous thorough work from sega team's. sonic 3 (& knuckles) really possess a soul and this makes him unique and unforgettable.
Thank's sega and you to remember me an awesome videogaming experience!
