@abgely1 He’s not well known because he doesn’t play a genre of music that appeals to a large audience. He doesn’t sing either which is a pretty big factor. Most people don’t want to listen to music consisting of only an acoustic guitar. He is appreciated by finger style acoustic guitar players such as myself. :) I’m huge fan of Andy’s. He’s awesome.

@victoireisthere Obviously a Bieber fan then.. If not then why speak out, and if so, let the poor little guy speak for himself, I can't imagine he'll be able to do that with much voice soon enough. There have been plenty of "Biebers" that have come and gone, the same as he shall, all in good time. Those like Mckee and Dufour.. Inexchangable. They have a soul all their own, Bieber is just money making, kid-go-lucky bullshit. Nothing comparable to the true passion and beauty displayed here.

@derlogger2 Alot of people will listen to it atleast twice, so its probably safe to take that number down to only 17,000,000. You have your guitar players trying to transcribe the hell out of it too so they can play it, listening to it multiple times so take that down to below 10,000,000.
He really isnt that known. Go ask 1000 people if they know who Andy Mckee is and you might get about 5 at most saying "that fat guy on youtube"?

Mainstream is mainstream for a reason. It's fairly stupid music for fairly stupid people. You know, "the majority." Those of more refined tastes in music find most "mainstream" revolting. Just FYI. If you really love music you will seek out talent in multiple genres and be interested in new, unique sounds. Music isn't good or bad because other people say it, it's good or bad on its own merits. There's a logic to music that only the best artists grasp. Maybe you aren't one.

Fun at the moment. :-)
