The people of Iraq need to be more appreciative. Of course they have gone through hardships. But their lives are better under the US that saddam. At least they can go to a US field hospital or get rations and supplies from NATO.

Whats the guy is saying is that until the war started, Iraq had a a well organised social and education system, much like England( - doesn't mean it's perfect.) Whats the guy is saying is that until the war started, Iraq had a a well organised social and education system, much like England( - doesn't mean it's perfect.) Since the state doesn't provide any more,the militias do - providing their take on history, which from their POV has seen Iraq go from a developed nation (albeit with a tyrant in charge,) to a country run by/for the Western allies. Rules don't really apply here, this is the outcome of 5 years of war and occupation. Peace.

So, this guy is saying that when the kids get a little bit older, they'll have to be killed as well because they will refuse to learn the new set of rules. Eventually, there will be so few Iraqis left, that they'll have to make a choice. 1. learn the rules. 2. Get killed off like everyone else.

How sad, "The children are relying on the charity of the militias." It sounds more like the militias are mining the orphans to carry out their dirtier tasks. Unfortunately, young adults do not want to die, and young impressionable children can be used so easily as weapons.
I wish the Iraqi people peace and success in their new world, but these militias are the reason why this war is still going on, and they can all burn in hell.

Damn!!! Look at what we've done to just the children of Iraq. We are also allowing Israeli soldiers to shoot children intentionally in their heads with small arms in Gaza as I am typing this. The world is watching and screaming, but America isn't listening.
This, is the beginning of the end for America and us Americans.

I certainly think this is a winning approach to take if you want to provoke Western people's outrage against the war, that is, using the plight of war orphans to illustrate the injustice of the war and occupation. I was curious to learn that Saddam Hussein's government supported social programs and an educational system that accomodated so many low income children. It's probably an indication of how badly the post war planning has been.

It seems to me to be deliberate, like, in your face as if it was planned to be a quagmire. I believe that whatever the US is doing there, they are doing as the puppets of the Israel lobby. Everything that the USA government sets out to do is a total disaster, as if it is planned to be. It is so frustrating and irritating because it could have been so successful and helpful to the people of Iraq, and I believe that there was a time when they welcomed and embraced the troops.

Yet, it should have gone very differently. For the most part the Iraqi people were happy to see Sadam Husseins' power come to an end, if, at that point the money confiscated from his and his two son's lavish life style would have been imediately put to good use hiring teams of Iraqi citizens to begin the work of rebuilding the infrastructure would have made a huge difference. Men working,providing for their families. Schools and hospitals,a distribution of food essentials for widows and orphans.

In your opinion is it possible that he knew about it? Or are you 100% sure that he had nothing to do with it, or knew it was going to happen? Why is there terrorist camps in Iraq? If they are so peaceful, Saddam would have not allowed these camps in his country. This war is indeed a stressful one.

Ibanezman, I think I understand where your coming from. It's hard for ppl to believe that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. Seeing as how Iraq is known for harboring terrorist cells. One would think Saddam had knowledge of and maybe was somewhat behind the attacks. No one really knows for sure. He might not of known. But as Saddam had complete control over the Iraqi's, one should assume he had control over Iraqi terrorist too. It takes one to know one. Afgan cells are birds of a feather too.

Well, personally, I don't think Saddam had WMD's. I think he just wanted his privacy. And America stepped on his toes. It pissed him off, so he didn't comply. He should have. It would have made things easier, I think. But he chose to be the kid in the sand box who never let you use his toys to make a castle. He wanted the castle for himself. Now he's dead and theres a big shithole where the castle once was.

maybe. I didn't lose anyone during the 9/11 attacks. But many did. What I see is a quagmire where in all honesty, nobody can win. The U.S. looks like bullies and Iraq looks like psychotic religious killers. Maybe if they taught their children not to hate and be jealous of the western culture (i mean lets face it, we live in a free utopia) they might wise up, and take action over the oil companies which are really the ones who are bringing them down.
