The sony z5 is newer, the xlh1 was released in 2006 it uses old technology at least i think so, so i would buy the z5 the z7 or the nx5 but if you cant afford those you can still get the ax2000 or this cam the panasonic hmc150 i was going to buy the ax2000 but this camera is making analize my choices
@rasmussk8 Okay, just needed to know before I bust a move and finally buy this camera. One last thing: Can I get the same cinematic quality that I saw with the AG-DVX100B?
god man i will love to hav ithis camera, im gonna save up 3,00 buck for this, what should i get this camera, a canon xl h1, or a sony z5u, those are my dream cameas, :D please tell cause i need some peoples opinions
@javieralza i haven´t got ant experience with the other two cameras, but i am really stocked on the panasonic. the xl h 1 is not as compact an "mobile" as the other two cameras, but this really depends on what you are gonna use it for. another thing about tha panasonic is that it records to a memory card, and therefore it is easy to bring the files over to your computer ;)
@rasmussk8 well ok then, no the xl h1 recordson both tape and dv tapes, but both look really good, but im not a big project man, so ill go with either a v15(not z5u no more) mmm, maybe the i like both, but are you sure the v1u doesnt record on chips, if not, then ill go with this one, i like the design, its just epic, and i gonna upgrade to hd in a while, but if it happens, lol'z this won looks really good, another question, whats the difference between a regular lens an a hd lens, more clear???
@javieralza you get way better quality with an HD lens. but the build in lense is really great, so you can go with that one for most types of filming. if you want to buy a new lense, you should try to get an HD lens for optimized quality. another thing you should look into is what editing system you are going to use. not all suports HD
@rasmussk8 i have vegas, its says it goes up to 4k for red cameras, so i think im good, even with the gl1, i still put hd setting, just to get at its best quality, stupid but i think it works
how did you get this footage onto final cut pro? what verison did you use?
