  • The fronttuck he does with one foot towards the end is called a webster

  • jumping UP is important? Damn i was jumping down...how dumb of me

  • @EpicComplaints Well the thing is, people like to jump outward rather then up..

  • landing on your neck is actualy impossible gravity wont let you ^^

  • I Tried A Front Flip 4 Times Today, Failed Like :/ I Cant Jump High Enough :L

  • okay this guy didnt land right. i used to land that way and i screwed up my knee. DO NOT LAND THAT WAY. land with one foot forward and RUN out of it. otherwise you can damage your knee horribly

  • @bfebob

In order to land on one foot to run forward after you have got to get a lot of height, and if you have it the difference of damagind your knees between two footed and one footed front isnt that much.

  • yea but make sure you dont over tuck it you might land on your knees ..worst case scenario is land on your head

  • Great, time to go get on my roof now. lol

  • Great, time to go get on my roof now.

  • oh awesome!!! all i have to do to learn a front flip is to jump up!! :D

  • dude i landed on my neck it fucking hurts

  • Can anyone tell me which is easier to learn, the one foot running take off or the two foot punch version.

The way I see it, the one foot take off seems better when stepping up onto an elevated obstacle, like in the video.

The two foot version is better when jumping forward, like over a gap, in a more horizontal movement.

  • @landgabriel I understand the one foot is called the Webster flip. Which is easier? A front tuck or a webster. is one easier than the other but depending on circumstances like I said above?

  • @landgabriel the two foot punch ruins your knees

  • wow

    jumping up is important

    I never knew!

  • UP, TUCK... I think that should do it lol.

  • @Epic923 exactly what i was thinking

  • UP, TUCK... I think that should do it lol.

  • i can do better ...just sayin

  • @Re0scoTT I will soon, give me advice!

  • @SexxyKevin okay.. take a bigger step in to your front flip with more power and jump up more your still kinda leaning down alot with your body keep it more straight also try to get so fast and tight with your tuck so that you dont have to hold it (just tuck and release) that way you have more time to prepare for your landing ...a softer landing is always more ninja!

  • I done this torturial and done exactly what it said i showed my friends an apparently i was just doing a high cannonball

  • mine are better and im 13

  • @liamis01177 dude age doesnt play a concept in anything....its how long u been practicing, if u think ur better than him fine....dont criticize just brag..

  • @hoang1428 yeah, i was in one of those moods :L

  • Jumping up is important.

Now everyone knows how to do a front flip!

  • @Th3H0wT0 well my front flips were reaaaaally low to the ground and it was because i was like diving foward into a frontflip instead of jumping straight up up

  • its important to jump up or your screwed, and tuck your legs or your screwed AGAIN!

  • Isn't the 2nd one a webster?

  • this dude hit a front flip out of a tree on my channel

  • I'm 13 I tried in gym with crash mat, decided to try without and I forgot to tuck all my weight on my little toe and it snapped in two lol

  • it is possible to land on your neck but only if u are able to do aerial :P if u can't do aerial u will always use your hands to protect your head :) it is just a normal movement :d last week i after failed front flip i was falling down on my head but when i was like 2 ft close to the ground my arms protected my head on her own ...

  • Jumping UP is important . UP , UP , UP . Tuck hard . You suppose that if someone watch it he knows the technique ? You are wrong! nice front flip btw :D

  • i practice this on my bed.. i can control my height w/ bounces to go higher, and dont get hurt that bad unless i land on my head :(

  • i like 2 use my pool as a place to practice acrobatics

  • Atleast you wont hurt yourself xD

  • @Ninjamanguy732 Meh, i can do frontflips and sideflips so easily in the pool, but the ground is a whole nother game

  • if u are scared, then dont do it! u will problary fail because of the fear xD

  • ok, dont tell me i will fail because i am scared, if u dont do stuff cuz ur scared i bet 1000 bucks that u will be quivering in a corner the rest of your life

  • @FreeRunner1996 get a spotter it helps a shitload

  • what does a spotter do? how does a spotter help. And damn our names are close

  • @The1996FreeRunner ya whats a spotter? im also scared of doing this. Ive attempted it once and landed on my back and it hurt a lot im too pussy to try it again.

  • @whatisupj Use a mattress, watch my two videos. You see the mattress I was using in my newest video. I've learned purely by trail and error.

  • lol first time i tried a frontflip in my backyard i landed on my neck....forgot to jump accordin to my friend :P

  • omg how the heck did u did it?! xD

  • idk i guess i just flipped without the jumpin part

  • lol

  • ive never landed on my neck but when i first got them i landed on my face coz i pretty much got caught on something and faceplanted the floor was very funny :)

  • in the fall season I like to make huge leaf piles and jump off of something like a picnic table into the piles for practicing. Absorbs shock pretty well

  • Comment removed

  • i realy wana do this cos i do parkour/ free running but ure never gona impress people if u cant flip so is there anyway of conquerin my fear btw i dont hav a trampoline or any safety equipment

  • ok frontflips are way harder then backflips in my opinion but there not scary at all i went to my park were there is beauty bark and i just kep practicing. it doesnt hurt cuz u only land on yur but or back unless u realy suck.

  • You also can impress people with parkour if u want. but it's not a sport to impress. but if u r good enough it will impress lots of people.

  • yea these scare the hell out of me cause i still fall on my back more than landing on my feet i need a spotter

  • aye aye skipper

  • thanks for this tutorial, I learned it very fast.

do like me ! train on a beach !

  • Dude..

I want to do one.. but im scared to land on my neck..

  • that will never happen unless you pussy out of jump forwards. REMEMER jump up, throw your arms down, tuck as tight and as hard as you can and you'll land them. if you can practice somewhere like a gym just or a trampoline just flop over a few times to get rid of the fear of falling.

  • i too

  • you wont land on your neck dude. the worst thing that can happend is that u go too far or land or ur ass xD

  • ive never seen someone bail so bad they land on there neck with a frontflip. and if your scared still practice on thick gravel, sand like the beach or if u have a spare matress set it up next to something.

  • You will never land on your neck trust me

  • @zelinski23 true the worst part of your body that you are most likely to land on is your back and if you are in sand or grass you dont get hurt too bad

  • Shit dude, nice punch.

I need to remember to make myself go UP and not OUT.

    nice vid

  • you are not the only one that have that problem!!!!!

  • u have really long legs

  • and do you think it's funny?

    I don't think it

  • Looks like he's using Punch (tip: try it with 1-2 at first its much easier)

  • dude, you forgot to mention, take off on the balls of you're toes:L.

  • nice...only one problem, I cant do it

  • if this is suspose to be s tutorial it sucked balls

  • @hobomandan can you read? does it say tutorial or make any refferance that it is? NO! so be silent

  • wow he jumps from a high place! looks so hard!

  • you get LAUNCHED!

  • i wanna try flipping, but dont wanna break my neck what should i use as an affordable crash mat

  • sand or grass? the crashmats of nature =P

  • you didn't mention how to untuck, which is almost as important as the tuck itself, but nice frontflip

  • this is bs i can do this its simple

  • lol lets see it then

  • haha aye aye skipper

btw is it possible to do it standing (not running) on flat ground?

  • Yeah, but 10x harder. More dangerous, too. Look for videos, search for "Standing front tuck" and you'll probably find some.

  • lol "Jumping UP is important" lololololol

  • this was a bad tutorial cause the way you lean your arms is very important and they didnt say anything about your arms.

  • Hrm, he's right. The arms are very important. I wouldn't call the overall video bad though, the video quality is fantastic -- hard to find on YouTube, and nice editing as well.

  • i said the tutorial was bad not the video, and the tutorial is what counts really, not the quality of the vid.

  • aye aye skipper!

  • the best i had to train (and just learned flips) is up in my woods thers a fallen tree and just dirt after it so i practiced there.

  • really nice flip! i love that!

  • Where should i train stuff likethis??

  • somewhere soft like grass or sand.

  • man, no wonder my front flips suck! I'm not jumping straight up! And my tuck needs work...I'm way too out of practice.

  • Holy crap that guy lands nicely for flipping on the ground. I hope to get my front flips like that soon, I just got them a few days ago :) :) I have bad landings doing it on flat ground, but I can do them off of things decently :)

  • A lot of people jump out more than up to help them rotate, which this guy doesn't. The reason he lands them so nicely on flat ground is because he jumps up, and tucks really hard. He gets his height from the jump, and the distance from the forward push of the tuck. But if I may add, if you're not flipping on flat ground I'd recommend jumping more out than up, so you can distance yourself from whatever you're jumping from.
