@weezertrip. Elvis could not hit the high note but in other versions of this song Clay does hit it. Check out his American Idol performances. This is a new arrangement that Clay originated that is equally difficult, if not more.

I've never been crazy about this song sung by women singers, but to hear it sung by Clay Aiken gives me chills every time, no matter how many times I listen to it. Hearing him sing it live in person is even better. His voice reaches somewhere into the depth of you and grabs you whether you expected it or not.
