The Dance of Eternity was the tryout track for DT. The drummers trying out were REQUIRED to play that song at the tryout. Seeing as this medley has lots of parts from TDoE gives a good indication to what Mangini is capable of. Type in "The Spirit Carries On Episode One, Two, and Three on the search bar to watch the tryouts. People saying that this song is now unplayable are stupid. Portnoy is not a drumming god. A very good drummer but not a god. DT is in good hands with Mangini.

If Mangini wrote the parts for the song, I'm sure they would have been more varied. Besides, it's just one song. It has no indication to how the whole album will sound. Stop being such a portnoy fanboy and accept the fact that DT moved on. Type in "The Spirit Carries On Episode One" to see how well Mangini plays with DT.
