  • shit, i tought this was a joke when i read about it on some forum :0

  • omg....it's incredible..it really works...i had ganglion too on my fingers hand...i hit it with a book...but it didn't completely go away!!!is it normal or what?...now it's smaller than yesterday but is still there!!!! how long does it takes to go away?!!!

  • Damn it, I'm 16, my uncle, dad, and brother had it. Now my you can't see, but it's there, maybe in a month it'll be big enough to bash the hell out of it.

  • Mine ins't that big but I can barely move my wrist

  • Gone

  • here in Brazil, we use the Holy Bible

  • LISTEN, I'M NOT A DOCTOR, BUT I HAD A HUGE ONE ON MY LEFT WRIST. I ASKED MY BROTHER TO HIT IT WITH A TEXTBOOK. AFTER ABOUT 3 FAILED ATTEMPTS AND SOME MINOR PAIN, I WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UP. BUT I TOLD HIM TO TRY IT AGAIN, AND AIMING FOR A DIFFERENT SPOT, HE DID IT. IT'S BEEN 2 DAYS SINCE THEN, AND IT'S GONE. I HAVE MINOR PAIN AND REDNESS FROM THE AREA BEING HIT, BUT I SAY DONT GIVE UP IF YOU ARE ALREADY DOING THIS METHOD. AGAIN, IM NOT A DOCTOR! BUT THIS WORKED FOR ME.

  • @stubaru

ok I'm sad to say my cyst came back after about a couple weeks or a month, but I started playing a lot of guitar, and somehow it went down again!

So I dunno...very weird thing this is.

  • these are all so retarded.

  • Mine was solid in my hand and I wacked it 7 times full on with a book.. I think the bruise will be bigger than the cyst.. fail :(

  • i have a cyst i think it kills and tomorrow im going to do a book methors wish me look :)

  • @reorj123g good luck! did it work? was is painful? :-P

  • This method shall vapourize my pimples on my forehead!

  • I almost want to do this but the cyst has fucked my wrist up enough...

Also it's bigger than this one, and harder... I think it'd be a bad idea

  • fuuny guys and i will do it cuz i have one and most certinly i will not do the surgry

a liite OUCH and its over

can a girl help u with this or does it need a strong arm ?

  • Cyst gone. Wrist broken.

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU'RE LOOKING THIS UP 'CAUSE YOU HAVE ONE AND ARE CONSIDERING THIS METHOD!!!

  • doesn't it come back when you smash it?

  • @fredblink18287 very likely, only good chance of it not coming back is if u get it cut out

  • doesn't it come back when you smash it?

  • that looks like it hurt.

  • does this hurt?

  • I just had my wife do mine...big time FAIL!!! My wrist hurts more now than it did before...she has no aim...lol. Entertaining though.

  • I am so gona do this right now! Damn CYST!

  • Whoa!

  • i got surgery and it came right back a couple months later so im working up the balls to try this again since surgery sucks for something so small

  • I tried dis but it didn't work for me! I let my cousin hit it 4 times but it won't go away!

  • @KDEMM Probably a tumour

  • @ElliotovHull EEETSS KNOTT A TUMORR!

  • least i know others have it too i have one but i just dont wanna remove it cause im scared it will hurt or cause more damage cause it like on my wrist so not going there but u brave

  • ummm. your just breaking it and leaving that shit in your body. if you get it OUT you will feel better

  • I have the same linksys router from the background.. thumbs up by whoever else has it!!

  • I have a gaglion and another hard knot a little bit above my wrist...is that still a gaglion?

  • I tried that, except I hit my wrist on a table, but my cyst wasn't really soft. So I had to hit it like 2 more times. -sniff- After that, the cyst did not disappear completely but my wrist doesn't hurt as much and the pain in my hand is gone.

  • This method is not 100% effective I did it and 2 weeks later it came back a bit smaller tho. I think I'll do it again

  • Breakin the core of the cyst and allowing the puss to enter the blood stream can be dangerous..

  • I smashed mine like that, not realizing it wasn't the same kind of cyst and it split up into two separate cysts and got bigger. I had to have surgery haha. Learned my lesson!

  • my cyst is a bit hard should i smash it?

  • i had surgery for this

  • so what the fuck does this do besides just smash the bump into a pancake so you cant see it.

  • @Avallido89 It bursts the "bubble" under the skin, so that it mixes with all the other insidey-stuff.

  • was it a hard cyst or a soft one?

  • and if it is a malign tumor after that dr will anputate his hand

  • Does this hurt when u do it? Lol cuz im scared to.

  • Comment removed

  • wow that looked like it worked! lol!!

  • i've got one on my elbow. i train mma and am not quite sure on what i should do. dr told me most of her patients do this. but im thinking if i get the surgery done it will remove some nerves in my elbow so i wont feel it when i hit someone with it. i need some advice. what should i do?

  • @Kent133 smash your elbow into somones teeth

  • @XpliciTClipz i like your logic!

  • And you chose a good book too!!!

  • did it hurt???

  • i wanna pop mine in my left wrist cause it hurts bad...

  • ue mad

  • Youch. I had to get surgery for my ganglion cyst. Mine was just like urs but bigger. On the exact same hand and same place on wrist. i had surgery-not too bad.

  • honestly....what did it feel like? im thinking of doing the same to mine.

  • WTF what a load of crap you wanna squash it good old fashion way with fingers

  • i did it to mine and it was small and like deep and hard what i did was got tipsy and heated up a sewing needle. stuck that bitch in deep till i bled then i pulled it out and smacked it with the binding of a cook book. it didnt really hurt that much just a little soar i think it would hurt more to let someone else do it

  • was yours hard? cause mines like a bone......did it hurt?

  • @cronaldozzidane That's what she said!! ;)

  • it didnt Work on My Mom "/

  • Lmao the person said gone! that funny

  • photography books work the best, i tried it with a french dictionary, nothing happened.

  • i read that kicking the gangLION shit with books is not recommended by some doctors as it can damage the area around it. The thing will come back anyway!

  • I just massaged the fucker away, don't go for the lump itself, work around it. Also if you feel the muscles further up the forearm, up near your elbow, you should feel some soreness there, work on massaging that area in particular and the lump will dissipate over a day or so...i get it from playing lead guitar for extended periods....or from pulling my pud, lol.

  • congratulations, you now have blood poisening!

  • @Feyd01 lol

  • LOL WTF is blood poisening?!!

  • YOu have the internet don't you? Fucking look it up.

  • Don't need the internet, cause theirs no such thing as blood poisening. The closest thing relative are blood-borne pathogens, hence a "blood-infection" or "sepsis". Blood poisening is not a correct medical term for any medical condition. FYI I'm a licensed EMT! Nonetheless I don't appreciate your attitude!

  • I couldn't give a rats ass if it's not the correct medical term. The term is still used by almost every major health authority, even The Lancet recognises the term! You don't appreciate my attitude? That's tough fucking shit! You shouldn't act like you're the ultimate authority on the subject, when you're clearly an ignorant twat.

  • I originally commented on your post cause I thought it was funny! Now I can see what a major dick you are! So fuck you! Yeah, I recognize the term dip shit so I was giving you a hard time about it just to show what a cock bag you are!

  • Lol, go cry some more you fucking retard.

  • Sure, I'll shed a tear for you poor bastard, all while you probably jack off to the thought of it faggot!

  • Now I know what EMT teams. Emo Mastuarbation Tears! Lol!

  • And you were just calling me a retard earlier?! Wow, okay I guess I'm an Emo Masturbation Tear! How about we come in our lil' flashy-truck and put a bandaid on your head the next time you forget to wear your red helmet?! LOL WTF!

  • Are you still whining? STFU you sad little twat. Lol

  • You know what, normally I don't really care! At this point I'm only going at with you for the entertainment. But I've had enough, now it's time for someone's ass to get kicked! Naw just kiddin! LOL Well, it's been fun while it lasted. And remember - it's not okay to be a bitch on youtube! LOL

  • @Feyd01 why would you say blood poisoning ? do you even know what your talking about in regards to a Ganglion Cyst ? there is no infection, there is nothing going back into the joint that is not there all ready. Your comment is pretty lame.

  • @Feyd01 It's not in the blood stream

  • @Feyd01 a ganglion cyst is a different beast and actually not an infection. It's just synovial fluid from the nerves and it's actually recommended to just smash it with a book. Do NOT smash infections however they are not filled with synovial fluid.

  • Damn it! I wan't to smash mine, but not looking forward to problems to get worse. Mine is hard not squishy. Might not work with a book but I was thinking more along the lines of a steel workers hammer...

  • omg f-that lol! might wanna get some help from mr. daniels if you're goin that route! Just get it surgically removed, changes are it will constantly come back. I would've but I did't have medicail insurance...see my comment below

  • LOL DUDE! Just drain it. Look at some other videos, lol.

  • Do it please

  • @bucktheusa yu shulda popped it XD

  • Mine's gone!

It actually worked, but on like the third try.

I'm right handed and it was on the right hand so it was hard to get the right angle.

Better if you have someone strong and do a practice swing first.

It's been gone ever since, but may come back if you use the old desktop mouse...

That's how I got it. My laptop has a touchpad and I never had a problem.

KILL YOUR MOUSE! Get a USB touchpad, they're expensive but worth it.

  • @bucktheusa Mine is hard too it comes up every 2 weeks for 4 years now, and even when its down i cant bend my wrist. it gets soooooo sore

  • @bucktheusa If you massage it, it will get soft. I massaged mine frequently and then put a tone of pressure on it and it popped. Don't use anything to pop it. You can seriously hurt yourself.

  • I was told the main reason not to do this is that you can potentially force the crap inside of the cyst into your bloodstream and cause yourself to get sick. But it doesn't look like these guys had too much of a problem.

  • thats crazy!!! I had the sam thing but i got it surgically removed!!

  • it was just pushed all in him it was not gone at all just spread

  • explain the prcoess please, i must have mine done soon

  • i i have the same cyst on my hand and i will not do the bible method idk whatt imma do anythin but that

  • you're supposed to lance it

  • fuckin stupid man thats just spreading the syst through out the hand and is going to get it even more infected

  • I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS!! I accidentally ruptured my ganglion it tripled in size, painful, red & infected turned into an open pus boil abscess (yeah, 'google image search' THAT one, yuck!) 2 wks of sterile hot compresses & epsom salt soaks to drain all pus, severe runs from nasty rx called Clindamycin & a $700 ER bill..the abscess is finally looking better, probably will reoccur tho so surgery will be next option. Good luck to all who have this ugly cyst and go to ur doc to get it drained

  • ouch on the medical bill dude, i feel for ya

  • mine is at the bottom joint of my middle finger :(...don't really know what I'm going to do, it's small now, so I don't know if I'm going to pop it with a needle...or just smash that bitch with a fat bible :P

  • i have one to for many years dosent hurt at all sometimes at night but smashing the book on it does it hurt i might try the needle way or surgery if not works then im going for this wish me luck freinds =/

  • I have had one of these for agood few years now. It really hurts when I train, so I watched a bunch of these videos, and went for it. It was on the underside of my wrist, and quite painful. It did hurt, but not too much when I smacked it, but it is one hour in now, and feels fine, altough tender when I push on it. Go for it I say. Although I do miss it slightly..

  • This is a common "home" method referred to as the Bible method. (people used to use their bibles to smack it)

  • lucky

mines on my wrist and i keep popping it.

but honestly. it comes back 3 mins. later. no joke.

  • lol...datz fukd

  • I just did it. Awesome!

Saved me money from having to go to the doctor.

And I am 23 and dont have insurance. So this was great. Thanks for the video and thanks for inspiring to smash my cyst.

  • We just did it with a friend. It worked fine.

  • you do know that doing that it can spread the infection up the arm and worse cases into the blood stream ,you should allways drain it .

  • And where are you coming up with this? There are no bacteria involved. Thus no infection. Its joint fluid that gets stuck in a sack thats all.. it gets processed into your blood stream and removed by your kidney. research before you post something.

  • yea what do i know eh anyone would think im a doctor !

  • i di this today with a bottle of apple juice. itook a video today of my ganglion before removing it. it was a lot bigger than yours. but now after doing the hit method its 90 percents gone i suppose.

  • i've done it but it keeps coming back, although i find it a better alternative than surgery or removal with a syringe.

  • i got one on the same hand same spot

  • I fell and caught myself with my hands. I ended up having one on my wrist removed by my then orthopedic surgeon. I had surgery on it because it was sitting on a major artery on my wrist. Part of my freakin hand was turning blue because of it. The doctor scheduled surgery and knocked me out. I was on Darvocet for a while. I FELT NOTHING!! I slept ALL the time. Itched like hell and then the stiches came out. Now I've got a scar on my wrist the size of a nickel.

  • ive had mine for about 2 years now it pops in and out so i dont bother it until yesterday when i was in the pool i did a handstand and all u hear is POP under the water and now its slowly fading away but i know itll be back

  • sounded like a bubble popping

  • I half wish it would come back so i could hit him again! Just playing dude. But i would hit you again because I am a good friend.

  • @marvellovr Haha, I can't believe I never noticed your comment. I'm glad it hasn't come back, but if it ever does you will be the first person to know.

  • I accidentally popped my cyst 1 year ago by pulling my wrist backwards, and it was gone.....until last week....and now it hurts a lot. I am so tempted to try this and be gone of it for good.

  • Seriously, after seeing this, I just this second had my 4 year old daughter smack mine with a box of 100 rounds of 9mm ammo. Didn't even have to hit it hard, and it's gone! Not painful at all, but feels a little weird right now. Thanks!

  • Watching this vid, and some other ones, i decided to smash mine.

Actually, as my cousins were afraid of risks, who smashed it, with a recipe book, was my granma! haha

  • you wont get an infection from ganglion cysts. Thats incorrect. The fluid is like the same fluid in your joints.

  • has the cyst come back since??

did u have any repracussions, like lack of movement? i have a cyst on my wrist and i play bass guitar, and i was to remove it with the least reprecussions. so plz get back to me.thx

  • It hasn't come back, and I don't have any wrist problems from it.

  • Is there any risk in doing this method?

  • Ooh. Em. Gee. I have a ganglion cyst and I have to get it removed. AGAIN. The first time they squeezed it like a pimple. It hurt so bad. The worst part was that the doctor that was attending me stank so bad. BUt I think I will have to get it surgically removed this time. My mom doesnt want to take me and she said to try this method. LOL. You guys have guts to do this.

  • I wanted to pop mine, but my doctor said that the root of my ganglion cyst was growing into the nerves at my wrist. So I had to have it surgically removed. It's never come back.

  • Scar?

  • I got 1 from punching, my doc told me that they used to do it this way years ago but as in another coment, Infection, wouldnt advise this to any1

  • how can he get an infection from this? their not cutting inside or anything so no foreign bacteria is entering the body...

  • out of your mind

  • i have one in my hand from a fight does this shit hurt at all

  • Lol, wow, it actually just went away.

  • Someone please tell me if this hurts?! Please cause I just found one on my hand.

  • Yes, but it doesn't last long

  • lol. I tried it but it didn't go away. It's just smaller.

  • No it hurts a little like when you get a misquito bite thats how it feels for me so idk

  • it can hurt, but that is not the problem you can cause a mayor infecction if you do this.

  • I've read this method is like 50/50 effective. Problem is you sometimes cannot fully explode thie pocket or "cyst" so the fluid will build back up. So if that is the case then don't hold back and just crack the fucker.

  • Congratulations you just busted infected fluid further into your body. Have fun with that when it comes back.

  • Wrong kind of cyst. He would only be spreadin infected fluid through his body if this was a Sebaceous Cyst, which is basically a clogged pore. A Ganglion Cyst is a pocket of fluid from over-exertion of a nearby joint (in this case, the wrist).

  • @Mastermind779 over exertion of the wrist?

I bet I know how he got it.

    giggity.

  • @bumblelybee i got mine playin counter strike lol

  • Its not infected fluid, your thinking of a different kind of cyst. Doctors actually recomend that you smash ganglions with a heavy book, i have one on my wrist and my doctor told me to do just that. Obviously this isnt something you've experianced and shouldnt be so condescending about.

  • haha yea. i dnt know wat got into their heads xD

  • wow it actually disappeared.

  • Just removed my one used same method ! 110% works perfectly!

  • i'm in the process of trying to convince my boyfriend to do this to mine

    i'm desperate!

  • Just do it one hard hit does not hurt at all and its gone

  • I HAVE ONE TEW! :[ im only 14!!

  • I HAVE 1 ALSO IM 13

  • Comment removed

  • ..i hope it isnt true..

  • Thank you, but it isn't true. Its definitely not cancer. That person was just trying to scare me. But it didn't work.

  • I own that book, great read.

  • omg i have that and i wanna remove it but it hurts a lot

    what do i do

  • Um...suck it up and have someone smash it?

  • yeaa but the doctor said it would come back

  • Oh wow! I never knew that this method actually worked haha. Well done :p

  • I have the same shit on my wrist, but idk if its a ganglion cyst because it feels hard like a bone.

  • it is supposed too. Thats one of the great features on one

  • same and only hurts when you push on it

  • That's very funny. I had one removed over twenty years ago and it was back after three years (and now in both wrists). I've heard of this method, but it is even more funny than I thought it would be.

  • *cries*

    I'm scared to do it.

    Mine hurts.

    it's in the nerves.

would anyone suggest it still be safe to do?

  • Um, wouldnt that displace a lot of shit you dont want displaced in your body?

  • It's just joint fluid.

  • That can be extremely painful and can even immobilize your hand / wrist. It sucks.

  • Never said it wouldn't be painful ;)

  • SUCESS!!! My wife should not have been as happy to do it as she was though.

  • Ashlee had to hit my cyst with a book too!!!!!!

  • ahaha, that looked easy. Mine doesn't come out like that. I have to get surgery.

  • YOU LIARS!! THAT DID NOT WORK :(

  • Thanks - worked like a charm! That's a good angle. This was my first and hopefully last ganglion.

  • i have one and i've tried it, it dosnt work it's rock solid lol

  • i think u need a bigger book.....if book dont work..try a baseball bat or a golf club....JK-ing

  • Home medical procedures sure have come a long way.

  • Hehe, this one works though. My doctor actually recommended I do this a few years back. lol

  • your doctor should go to medical school ! I had a large ganglion removed about 7 weeks ago : can you imagine recommending that you smack your wrist with a large book... when you have tendons, veins, nerves, bones etc...

hitting it with a large book, apart from being dangerous is very unlikely to stop it coming back.

  • its a 50percent chance of it will coming back....book is no different from the needle..excpet that the needle lets the fluid out....but even with needle it can still come back

  • It'll come back. Thats one of the reasons why doctors specifically say NOT to do this.

  • THAT was great!!! 5 Stars!!!

  • that is gross as hell! lol you can see it go away!
