Hi there, I've used the polyester before and like the material also, unfortunately our clinic only uses the fiberglass tape because the polyester material is too expensive for our clinic manager to order. I'll use more or less rolls on a person depending upon the diameter and length of their individual arm.
try to use pretape on top of the padding and the surface will become really smooth. Its also more easy to remove the cast later on. Fiberglass is nice but polyester is also great and you will only need two rolls of 3 inch. evenso for the fiberglass application.

:>))) I had several boxes of different colors on my table and just happened to grab a different color for the 2nd roll of fiberglass. :>)
