if only sione lauaki couldve reached his full potential he wouldve been the hardest player in world rugby to counter and tackle even at half his potential the man was a bohemeth that always attracted 2 3-4 players . if any1 can make ahighlight of lauaki career frmhis early days that id b awesome
@187prettyboy Combined team of Tonga, Samoa and Fiji. They're officially a test side but as they're not a nation, Sivivatu and Luaki have test caps for both the Pacific Islanders and the All Blacks. Never won any games I don't think, but they gave professional teams a run for their money :D.
yeah NZ is part of the polynesian peaople group,,,should include maori's also in the side ,,,just think about that have them tour the world of rugby nations.bring in some blacks in the forwards that are maori blooded coz thats wat the islander lack pace forwards and power from the blacks
They were thinkin of making a Polynesian team to play in a spectacle in rugby league wit there being so many in the game these days. Wouldnt that be fukn brilliant to see. Be great for the game aswell
Funny how both lauaki and Sivivatu both now play for the All Blacks!
and Prosaint3, Rabeni plays for Leicester, he was going to move to Gloucester on a 3 year deal but he failed a medical, don't know where you got this info that he retired and is part of the Coaching staff :S
Yes i completely understand, we're definitely on the same page!
These guys play with such passion and pride.
Moses Rauluni said after the quarter final that many of Fiji's players are just normal guys back home, earning less than 30k a year playing provincial rugby or doing other jobs, their facilities are pretty poor as well, but through their sheer will and incredible skill they still almost beat the world's best team.
i dont remember either one of them playing for the wellington lions, Vili is an aucklander originally and Va'a was born in Wellington but i dont know if he played for them
tanner vili stuff that game um from a penalty he kicked it out in dead ball line.....when P.I. were 6 point off....when that happened P.I.s lost the game.
Wow 41-26 to New Zealand against The Pacific Islanders. That was a good game even when The Pacific Islanders came back into the game and who were leading at times.
Oh they were terrifying..... LOL one thing about PI rugby to watch for is their tackling game.. all in all it was great to see the 3 islander teams put together... and even showed the All Blacks selectors wat Sivivatu and Lauaki could do... would've loved to watch the other games - vs Wallabies and Springboks on youtube too.. Great Vid thanks for uploading. cheers

Curretly playing for Tolouse. Gives Bastareaud a run for the money in the fat bastard stakes.Still a cracking player though.

rabeni was apart of fijian coaching staff in
2009 Pacific Nations Cup.
stupid comment
He's played in 2003 and 2007 World Cup for Fiji. 2007 being highlight beating Wales and going to Quarter final's.
Playing for Pacific Islander's means you are representing your home team. Tonga Fiji Samoa.
most Tongan rugby players in 2007 payed their OWN way to France...nearly beating Springboks...its not about MONEY...ITS ABOUT ALLEGIANCE & HEART
prosaint3 2 years ago 12
haha yes I am quite familiar with Rabeni's playing history, was absolutely quality in the 2007 world cup, made some absolutely huge hits!
Yeh it's not all about money, these guys have incredible skill.
Gcontrol2007 2 years ago
but get this
the All Blacks put in millions! just to lose in Quarter finals...
The Fijians on other hand hardly got a cent and they still made Quarter finals.
do you get where im comin from?

I hope that Fiji and other Islands can some day develop their own rugby instead of their players leaving for cash to play in bigger countries.
Cash always talks and smaller nations can be manipulated
sonofthedestroyer 2 years ago 19
@sonofthedestroyer
if they had any pride in themselves and there country they would represent there so called country
.
playing for the all blacks isnt were the money is at its playing for European clubs its club rugby that pays money $ so you can scrap that point
its the idea of playing for the best rugby nation an most already live in new zealand and call it home :)
well if it was for money they could play euro club rugby and get BIG money and then represent there island nation but they dont
