@JCanz16 Wrong. That's a huge misconception about the DCCD. Subarus are full time all-wheel drive. A DCCD lets you change the amount of lock in the center diff. The torque split (dictated by the gears) is 65% rear / 35% front. Locking the diff makes all 4 wheels rotate at the same speed. Fully opening it lets them spin independently. You can kick the rear out / do donuts in an STi because more torque goes to the rear tires, allowing you to break traction on them. I own a 2005 Sti...

Sorry, 270 to each set of wheels but it doesn't work that way. Where I was going with that is the STi has a torque split. So it's like 30% front and 70% rear. It has an auto mode and a couple of controlled setting that changes the numbers. I'm sure you knew hat because it seems you know a lot about STi's. And not all AWD cars can out launch RWD cars. In fact with the right tires they will tear up just as good 60ft times (if not better) than most AWD cars.

When you have a multi-wheel drive vehicle you have to split up the percentage of 100%. You cannot have 2 sets of axles with 100% power because simple math would say that's 200% power and impossible. I don't believe that gen STi makes 270wtq stock anyway. Maybe like 250.
