I miss the 90s - I used to love the 80s music - but it got old... the 90s is the last decade of music with any substance (in my opinion) - I would love a format that plays the "90s" and really mean it. I don't care for AC stations playing 80s music with the slightly old music that is less than 2 years old. Boston radio lost me a long time ago, no station anymore I can find in the market to get a Sarah McLachlan fix, rather listen to a AM station with a news/talk format.
I miss the old Oldies 103. Their format the last couple of years has really become rotten. I still love Barry Scott and the Lost 45s, though. That will never be bad. What is bad is that Tom Kent guy. I can't stand him, and he's all over the deal like a weed! Even B101 and Coast FM (101.9 on the Cape) are playing him. Coast used to have this other fellow who I think was local that did a nice show with all kinds of good 50s-70s music. Radio is no fun to listen to anymore, no creativity. No variety
Hey, that sounds exactly like the "old" KFRC in the San Francisco Bay Area! Of course, all references to WODS and Boston are replaced by KFRC and San Francisco.
Ohh yeah, I remember this one. I think it was in the late 90s sometime that they started calling themselves "103.3" Now, I don't even think they consider themselves an Oldies station anymore. They seem to have dropped the "Oldies" moniker.
I think it would be after the Fall 500 countdown ends. I have listened to snippets of their new JAM jingles recently through JingleMad. All I heard was: 103.3 WODS!
It is now October 6....given their behavior the last few years, any second! I wish they'd just wait until December. What I find equally upsetting is almost every station now starts playing all the Christmas crap about November 1. I find it annoying and somewhat offensive. I'm not super-religious, but I think pushing the season like that not only is disrespectful to the roots, and real meanings of the December holidays, but just in poor taste in general.
loved these when i was a kid

i believe it was a recorded voice over. It's been on the NMSA for a few years now as one of the opening cuts of their theme packs at that time.

Probably the only V/O job Charlie Van Dyke ever got in Boston.

Charlie Van Dyke did voice over in the later years of WNAC-TV in the /Newsroom/ 7 days.

If I ever get my old videos posted I will have to post some airchecks. They all laughed at me when I recorded them when I was a kid.
