True, but let's not forget that this is the law in their country. It's unjust to say that Iran or whatever country should be more like America or some western country. yes, they were. and on the case of the third, the incident was condemned and the US forbidden from repeating it. the second is totally irrelevant (Guantanamo is a military prison like any other) and the first, the war on Iraq was on since 1989.
Guantanamo Bay was NOT like any other prison, the prisoners there were Muslims from around the globe who were in the SUSPICION of being a terrorists, some of the "terrorists" were even citizens of America who had done civil crimes that led them to Guantanamo.
Also, I am personally against Sekineh's sentence; but then again she did go against the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The law states that a person (man/woman) cannot have sex with anyone outside of their marraige or to anyone before marraige. In America it's not like this- you can have sex with the entire population if you want, but in a country like Iran where religion is enforced upon laws, it's hard to ignore such a case as Sakineh's. But hopefully she'll be excused!

Also, I am personally against Sekineh's sentence; but then again she did go against the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The law states that a person (man/woman) cannot have sex with anyone outside of their marraige or to anyone before marraige. In America it's not like this- you can have sex with the entire population if you want, but in a country like Iran where religion is enforced upon laws, it's hard to ignore such a case as Sakineh's. But hopefully she'll be excused!

This is tragic, but what's even more tragic is that this is just one victim who's face has gotten out there. Many more have been raped in dungeons so that they can't enter heaven, then killed. Many more will be killed. I've signed petitions and I'll mirror this video, for all it's worth. I'm not sure what good it will do, the Iranian government is brutal and tyrannical, but even a small chance is better than no chance.

hey I'm all for someone being able to leave another without threats of being beaten over the ehad. But whoever made this film should've left the music out. The sound of the cry music makes me harden to what is being said. I'm sure I'm not alone.
