John Myung does use a pick, at least for a couple of minutes of a song ;p

Listen to the end of "The Dark Eternal Night." Totally a pick, (you can also tell by watching the video they posted of them recording it in the studio.

All things aside, a pick creates a different dynamic. Doesn't make you a noob if you use one- it's just a different sound and a preference.

mmm i think that myung never ever used a pick while playing for DT. Actually, he plays with 3 fingers in the right hand, and a very aggresive style, he doesnt need a pick to make that powerfull metallic sound.

No, John Myung doesn't use a pick. But to compare every bassist in the world to John Ro Myung is foolsplay.

Toshiya from Dir en grey uses a pick, Marco Hietala from Nightwish also uses a pick. There is also Yu-to from Galneryus who uses a pick and can shred like a guitarist.
