  • This game is hard. But it has the easiest bosses ever.

  • I remember when I got to this spot on one playthrough, the whistle warped me away instead of draining the water lol

  • Actually nevermind.

  • Im gonna play this on my ds, how come you avoid all the enemies? Im not criticizing you ha im just wondering if that's how you should play

  • COOL

  • This dungeon looks more like a Lizafos instead of a demon

  • I really love your walkthrough of the Legend of Zelda : D

  • you could have mentioned the wall masters BEFORE I entered the room!

  • Dude thank you for this Walkthrough ive had the game for almost 7 years i got lost so many times it wasnt funny your awsome for thank you again

now if only we could get the makers to do this over to play like the newer zeldas it would be so even more badass.

  • u know what this game is hard but i love it. i never would have finished it without this walkthrough. really these are too many secrets

  • @AdamGLewis Yha. The clues were too cryptic. It was a fun game, but I dont think it was great for this very reason.

  • @AdamGLewis

You´ll get the clue from the old man in dungeon 6

  • @AdamGLewis I found it by accident the first time XD

  • The like like took my shield k wasted so much time getting 100 rupees

  • There was a glitch where my boss was invisible and I had to restart the level.

  • How many dungeons are there in all?

  • @panteralover23

there are nine dungeons..after you beat the game once you can play again with the dungeons all mixed up..so technically speaking there are 18.

  • @goldteefforerbody, well, I couldn't even get through the fifth dungeon, so I don't think I could get through eighteen dungeons! I'm not the best gamer on the planet by any means! ;P

  • i played this since i was 5-8 and i could never beat the 4th dungeon

  • This map looks like a dragon rather than the walkthrough before this that one looks like a demon so i think you mixed them both up

  • @ACCFJeremiah it looks that way, but the booklet of the game actually has it listed dragon, then demon. i agree, though; this one does look like a dragon, and the other one i don't think really looks like anything at all. :D i would say nintendo got the order mixed up in the booklet, but because of the digdoggers you have to have the whistle first, i guess. fail, on their part.

  • @abel1389 No it doesn't I have it

  • the map of the dungeon looks like godzillas head.

  • Why did Nintendo repeat Aquamentos in anouther dungeoun?

  • thanks for the help, the fine details do count ;)

  • Oh no it's Aquamentus's revenge! And now it's over.

  • This takes me back aways. It's been so long I don't even remember finishing this game. I got links awakening from my brother the next christmas and I remember getting that but until I started watching this walkthrough I had forgotten how long it took me to complete this game. Thanks for posting man!

  • How many days did it take you to finish the game?

  • @nEonLeaF22 days? you can beat this in hours.

  • @fergie1653 oh haha

  • i din't get the heart! D:

  • at 7:15 the map looks like Pacman :D

  • so I need bait in order to complete this dungeon? I just entered it without bait.

  • this dungaeron looks like a koopa face.i wonder why...

  • no matter how good the graphics are in gta4, no matter how many puzzles are thrown in skyward sword, no matter how many games are remade or "improved" the classics will never die,

  • The map looks like a hand puppet XD

  • I think this dungeon entrance may have appeared in the old Zelda cartoon in some manner. Zelda announces and opens an "underworld entrance" in a pond and Link then states, "No wonder I never caught any fish here!"

  • @TSLittleMermaid i remember that! yeah! i didnt think of that! =D

  • Comment removed

  • I was 10 when I played this. I remember looking in Nintendo Power, reading Tips and Tactics, and calling the Nintendo expert help line for hints, too. I also remember hand-drawing a map of Ganon's dungeon with notes about where the different passage ways and such lead to. Thanks for posting this stuff - what great memories. I may just have to dust off my cartridge and play a little Zelda here soon.

  • Goddamn why is this dungeon so much easier than the 6th? The 6th one is ridiculous with those stupid wizzrobes and this one has barely anything.

  • i never had to use the bait...or the power braclet...how did i ever solve this??? lol....awesome and classic game by the way!!!

  • An easier way to kill Digdogger: Just after having blown the Whistle on him, should he break himself in three, destroy one of the pieces, then leave and immediately re-enter the room, and the other two pieces will be gone.

  • @ 4:56 after blowing the whistle just hit one of the little ones, walk out the door and come back and it's dead. lol

  • It's Jay Leno.

  • moldorm is a boss in link to the past... but in here its just an enemy

  • i agree

  • everytime i hear the noise for a key i say 'o i need a a key' lol

  • the wistel sounds exactly like the occarina of wind in minissh cap

  • 4:07 lol...I thougt fairies wouldn't live in there

  • the wistle sounds like the one in smb3! it got stolen from zelda!

  • Zelda was older and it wasnt stealing because the same huy made zelda and mario.

  • duh! what kind of a gamer am I?!?!

  • Its bassically not stealing because this game was older than smb3.And the guy that made mario made ze.lda

  • i meant that i thought the one in smb3 used zelda. but now i remember

  • @tylord97 You mean reused. Shigeru Miyamoto, and by extention, Nintendo owned both series. What's wrong with Shout Outs?

  • @Hydronix Yes, I do. I think its really cool that the sound was used in both games. I'm saying, since I still don't have the original Legend of Zelda, I was surprised to hear that in this game since I had heard it so much in Super Mario Bros. 3.

  • "blow the whistle" :P

  • 1st, its not and 2nd it is probably the best game on the NES because of its charm, good controls, story, and gameplay, faggot.

  • This was as far as I ever got. Too bad I sold my NES like 15 years ago...

  • get it for the DS

  • This dungeon seems quite a bit easier than some prior. With a walkthrough that is. without one it would be really hard to find, and to find your way through it

  • the wistle sounds like the one in super mario bros 3 xD

  • @TheAngel65 thats wat i said in part 8!

  • @TheAngel65 Yep! It's actually the same pitches. Also the theme of the cloud sections (with all the coins) in SMB 3.

  • @TheAngel65 u mean the whistle in mario 3 sounds like the one from zelda haha

  • @dups1822 whatever

  • @TheAngel65 Actually the Whistle of Super Mario Bros 3 sounds like the Recorder of The Legend of Zelda, considering that Super Mario Bros. 3 was released years after The Legend of Zelda.

  • @TheAngel65 i know right?!

  • @TheAngel65 and the wand sounds like the raccoon mario attack xD

  • @Squidsmacker yeah it does

  • @TheAngel65

Where do you think they got that sound from in Super Mario 3?

  • @TheAngel65 no the whistle from smb3 sounds like the one from legend of zelda

  • @TheAngel65 Ahh considering this game came out first im pretty sure the one in super mario bros 3 sounds like this one

  • ill migth get this for my wii

  • it needs to buffer you dumb peice of shit.

  • if you guys weren't retarded you'd realize he's using the whistle which creates a pause in the game.

  • rofl

  • you sure you just dont have your speakers on when he's using the whistle

  • Thank you so much on the last room, i was stuck there, i didn't know how to reach the boss, overall is kind of an easy game, but some areas are really tricky, great walkthrough.

  • back in the day this game was actually very long and tough, because you didn't know about the locations of the secret shops, heart containers, rupee hide outs etc.

you basically had to search every screen of the game with bombs if you wanted to find all the secrets in the game

not to mention that when i and many other played this game for the first time, we were very young. i was like 6-7 years old and i didn't know much english. so the clues from the old wise men didn't help me much

  • @astagohai we i Germany we had a Nintendo Hotline where you could ask if you didnt know whatto do in a game especially in Zelda i call them lots of times :)

  • @astagohai they didnt help people who spoke english either buddy.

  • @astagohai haha even if you knew perfect english the "clues" from the wise men didn't help much

  • @astagohai when u learned to read better I bet you were dissapointed to find out the old wise mans clues still weren't very helpful.

  • @astagohai Not to mention, even if you were fluent in english, the old man hints are REALLY badly translated.

  • @MadSnake123 its an easy game when you have a walkyhrough. but when you dont know where anything is . . .

  • 2:32-2:35

get the small, get the key. lol

used to the newer dungeons I guess?

  • That dungeon was... pathetic

  • does anyone not notice you cant get the master swoerd:(

  • this dungeon is a joke. Really nice after the tough one right before it.

  • have u made a guide for links awakening and link to the past? i used your guide for about half of adventure of link and it was amazing, i followed another guide after that was not quite as satisfying but it showed where to retrieve everything.

  • I got my shield stolen in the bastard dungeon previous, so I need to go round Hyrule destroying everything to get 100 rupees...

    Going to take ages.

  • They must be shadow clones!

  • I remember my dad playing this game all the time, he hand drew each dungeon as he went through it, and marked where everything was. My dad is King Link!!

  • finally, i got the fucking triforce

  • I remember playing this game in 1989 or 1990 and it took me prob half my freshman year in college and into first semeseter of soph year to win the game. I used to call Nitendo help line and they would give me tips like here when u give the meat when he says "grumble grumble" finally the guy at Nintendo said "what sound does your stomach make when u are hungry... it grumbles" and I said, oh feed him, haha. Can't believe I spend almost a year playing it. My fraternity bros called me King Zelda.

  • lol shouldnt u have been called king link...zelda was a girl!

  • when i was a kid when i first watched/played it i always thought the kid was named zelda. hahah

  • Can't blame you, Link does all the adventuring and is the main character.

Zelda just gets kidnapped... yet the game's named after her.

  • awesome comment. i like to see older gamers and hear how they feel as well and cool story like that. first time i saw zelda was from a close friend like family guy also named Scotty that played it when i was little. i was like wow you are so good at it cause when i was young this game was impossible for me haha. i am just beating it now... using a little help... haha

  • first yes we all did. second mario 3 stole it from zelda. third, their nintendos games, they can use it in any of their games.

  • And not only are they both Nintendo, but both Mario and Zelda were both created by the same person.

    :)

  • exactly thank you

  • Miyamoto is da man!

  • mario 3 didnt steal it, you idiot. Nintendo made zelda & mario. Meaning, they can use any music from whatever nintendo game.

  • you obviously didnt read the entire comment. I already said that you retard

  • Anyone notice the sound the flute makes is the same sound the flute in Super Mario Bros 3 makes?

  • can your shield break, i remember buying a big shield and not geting hurt by some stuff that now hurts me

  • it can't but one of the enemies can take it away

  • It got stolen by a like like (those things that look like a stack of pancakes). If you get grabbed by one it takes your shield.

  • Level 7 is pretty much your break from level 6.

  • What do you mean?

  • I was referring to the HUGE difference of difficulty between the two levels. Level 6 is a pain to beat with all those wizzrobes, while level 7 is surprisingly very easy with all those Goriyas and having Aquamentus as the boss, though the digdoggers can prove to be troublesome if not killed fast enough. The difficulty from level 6 to level 7 was a large drop.

  • Btw. The bait is called FOOD. It says it on the title screen.

  • i found that the magic want works better against the wallmasters

  • they ran out of boss ideas!lol

  • thank you took me forever without this walkthrought

  • My butt is on fire. I wanted to do a walkthrough of this game but you already have this covered....I might try doing the No Sword challenge and record that.

  • were is the rom and emu

  • lol just google search, but you must own the game

  • Thank you sooo much for this!!! I was stuck on the screen with the hands, or the wallmasters and now I got through! THANKS!

  • You know you can hit the ones that appear in the middle by halfly standing on a rock next to it and waiting for them to stand on the tile next to you. You can hit them from there.

  • The music from the flute is the song used for Ocarina of Time's title screen!

  • also in super mario 3 :P

  • The music from the flute is the same as the one in super mario 3

  • no shit sherlock

  • I'm Almost Done with this lv I just gotta find the boss

  • I would've never figured that out on my own. lol

  • u can use the wand to kill the wallmasters with one hit

  • Those blue boomerang enemies are stronger than Aquamentos. =/ Maybe they wanted you to realize how much you've progressed through the game.

  • I play this game on my wii!

  • on your wii???

  • + ... 5stars

    Muy Bien

  • If you did not get the magic boomerang in level 2 this dungon is a joke. It is actually easier than level 5 dungon. Great bit of inte for those who are looking for easier ways of beating this game. Also bombs are cheaper than keys. The song that is played is the same song as the flute song in SMB 3.

  • thats what i think and you know that sound that hepens when he gets an item in the doungen or finds a hidden place it sounds like a 1up

  • like when he killed the thing with the flute when he got the bombs it made a 1up sound

  • is link a boy or adult in this game?

  • hes a kid in this one and in adventure of link hes a teen

  • well then how come hes a boy in link to the past, oracle of seasons and ages, fourswords, partly in OOT, Majora's mask, wind waker, phantom hourglass, and minish cap? The only time he was a teen is adventure of link and twilight princess. adult only in OOT

  • well thats wat i herd theres a video called gt zelda timeline wich should anser your question

  • there are multiple links, plain and simply.

  • Each one of The Legend of Zelda games feauters a different Link exept for Majora´s Mask and Phantom Hourglass. Some of those games happen hundreds and thousands of years appart, so there´s no way it can be one Link in all of them, wich explains different ages.

  • False. Zelda I and II feature the same link. Ocarina and Majoras mask are the same Link. A Link to the Past is the same as Link's Awakening, and both Seasons games, etc...

Next time, don't correct people when you don't know wtf you are talking about.

  • boy

  • where did you get to have 12 bombs

  • There is a bomb upgrade in Level 5.

  • um this is a place to comment or ask questions about the vid not a time to show off how good u are especially since this is a walkthrough. its informative!!

  • I just noticed the flute song is the same as the SMB3 warp flute song. Weird! I wonder what the deal is.

  • im not sure what his name is but the person who made this song also worked on SMB3 - Fact!

  • cool and thats the same whistle and sound from SMB3 i think i havent played it in a while

  • I think it is, its definitely similar

  • Koji Kondo

  • Oh thanks, it's been 10 Months, I completely forgot. But thanks anyway!

  • yay I could not find this dungeon but now I know where it is. I spent hours on hours searching I thought it was on the opposite side of the map.

  • You can also enter that last dungeon by touching the second middle top left statues.

  • Wonderful walkthrough! 5/5!

  • I can't believe you finally took out a peahat! I hate those bastards. Have sat and waited for what seems like an hour for them to stop flying. You did a great job with this walkthrough so far. I can't wait for level 9.

  • the whisple its the same sound of mario 3

  • It probably is. Nintendo recycles a lot from their franchise games.

  • Mario 3 came 2 years after Zelda 1, the whistle in Mario 3 is a reference to the whistle in Zelda 1. Though the Zelda series repays the favour in later games with references to Mario.

  • getting through this dungeon was harder than killing the boss himself. took me like 1 hour total to get through this

  • all the keis die if you kill one specific one because that specific one is the leader.

  • can anyone tell me where i can get alot of ruppies really fast?
