Inspired by your Christmas present I checked YT for more "Coeur est un violin"-versions. So I discovered Lucienne Boyer and wasn't surprised to find a video of you. Thanks for this delicious romantic tango!
Welcome Barbara ! How nice to see you here, again ! No, I do not know this Frehel's interpretation. The other one is planned here to be presented. Visit me !
It's my pleasure to be able to listen to her, too. And this work (another pleasure and ...another freedom) gives me this occasion. However, she is not the only one 'French singing lady' that enchants me.
She (her singing) even played some important role in my family. My father, still as a student, went in 1937 to Paris to see World Exhibition. Fell in love with the city and... Mamselle Boyer. Brought many original 78rpms of hers which, a year later became a sort of a French language manual for my mother, when they met first...:-)
i i can fall in love with a woman who sings like this

The melody of this tango is very similar to Manu Chao's Mala Fama.

Lovely song by a wonderful chanteuse; too bad she's known mostly for "Parlez-moi. . ." (also a great song),
but thanks to YT I'm delighted to hear many of her other renditions. Merci!

This singer is forever associated with that classic french chanson " Parlez-moi d'amour", which has been
recorded by many other singers including Carlos Gardel and Barbra Streisand. Very nice tango.
