I remember making my mom record this show for me when it first aired. Then fell in love with this song. It's really weird seeing Jerry Lawson on The Sing-Off now. This was the best compilation of acapella. Loved it!

This remains one of my most favorite shows I've ever seen on PBS and I've listened to the soundtrack so much!

damn...watched this show on PBS when i was a teenager in the 80s. i actually put down my Depeche Mode for a while and fully got into Persuasions and R&B from the 50s&60s, like Same Cooke. had to hide my tapes from my friends for fear of being teased.
