stupid question how does the propeller assembly go? you have the shaft of the motor a washer? then a nut? which sits inside the plastic nose cone? the the prop then the chrome nut with a point? I think mine is missing a nut somewhere
The skytrainer looks good, but I would like an electric-powered semi-glider (with the the motor up above the wing) but the fuselage has to be small enough to fit in a reasonable size suitcase, and the wings must be in two pieces for the same reason. Any suggestions as to a make/model with full rudder-elevator-aileron control (for a rusty RC pilot?)
I just ordered the Sky Trainer, almost exactly like this one, different markings only. Nitroplanes doesn't have a parts list, but they say they can order them. My question is, are parts from HobbyZone for an almost exactly the same plane compatible with this on?
Great plane! Does anyone know of a downloadable model for a RC simulator, ideally for Aerofly Professional Deluxe? I've Googled for electric RC models similar to this plane to practice in AFPD, but have had no luck.
Great plane! Does anyone know of a downloadable model for a RC simulator, ideally for Aerofly Professional Deluxe? I've Googled for electric RC models similar to this plane to practice in AFPD, but have had no luck.
I got my Skytrainer today and it looks great! Only thing is I don't like the glue tube that comes with it. The tube does not have a pointed tip to get into small areas.
Hey Nitroplanes. Thank youi for this vid. It was really helpful.
I would like to use this airplane with the "Flapperon" configuration on my JrX3810 transmitter. Have you any idea about the degree of the flap? If yes, please can you give me this information?
@delcob Hey Delcob! Thanks for the comment, we are as anxious as you guys! We have our containers in customs right now for verification, once the products come in, you bet we're gonna notify our valued hobbyists and viewers like you immediately! -cn
Hey bud, I am trying to look for the exact same plane at nitroplanes (same decals). Do you guys still have that one with the same decals. I don't like the newer version they are selling right now. I wonder if u might be able to help me. Thank you.
Well it appears that the plane I got actually HAD the decals on the parts and they were removed, I can't imagine what the point would be in doing that unless they were not applied correctly.
This left the cowl covered with glue which took me forever to find something that would dissolve the glue and not damage the cowl.. Amazingly Gunk for engines worked great.
Not sure what's up with these (no decal) planes, used or what, but something is strange.
Just got this plane... HEY NITROPLANES---WHATS WITH ALL THE DAMN DINGS??
I mean really WTF? In the fuse, in the wings, I mean really, it's ridiculous... And clearly these things happened before packing.. Is there some guy on the assembly line with a screwdriver popping holes in these things for fun or what? Ever heard of quality control?
It also helps to put some heavy duty clear packing tape over weak areas or areas that are susceptible to ground contact on rough landings... Have fun!
Ditto. How can we get the decals. For those that are blissfully unware, NP is now selling it stark white. It looks like I'm flying a giant marshmellow. It was cheap but I figured I could get the decals but so far no luck. Any love on this?
I assume this is why the price is pretty low... I went to my local hobby shop and got some detailing materials--letters number, pinstripe tape, adhesive backed detail covering (not the iron on kind) plus there is "lite" iron on covering for foam planes.. That should do the trick plus you don't have to worry about the manufacturer putting the decals on sloppily..
I notice some slight differences in the plane in video and my airfield 93A182. So, not sure you will relate to this or be able to answer it. There was no user's manual just a large poster size sheet with instructions and parts list. Not much in the way of instructions. It came with a three pin connector, similar to servo connector, with pin 1 wired with short black wire to pin3. I have no clue what it is for. Any ideas?
Hi. I just wanted to say that I put this together, and was also concerned about the rear landing gear not seeming to want to stay in the slot. It dropped out while walking to the car with it.
De ja vu.....when putting it together, both wings have a small nipple that pop into place holding the leading edge of the wings in the main frame, and the trailing edge side is screwed in, with of course the bar running through both wings for support. All the time I'm thinking...this could easily pop out and the wings could fold in midair.
Well, guess what happened. I did a loop, came out of it, throttle up again to bank to the right and the wings folded into a slight V. I noticed it right away. It was very hard to control, and I could'nt maneuver it at all after that. It did a nose dive right into the ground, and smashed it to smithereens from about 100 feet up.
This is a design flaw for sure! Nitroplanes heard about it...and will do nothing about it. Pretty much said "tough luck".
Hey Bud, Thx for the video. I just bought this model from nitroplanes and I have 2 questions.
1. How do you get the back landing gear mount to lock into place? I tried pressing the landing bar into the slot but nothing happens. It's just sitting loose in there? I pressed very hard to no avail, and I'm afraid of possible breaking something.
2. What are the alligator clips supposed to connect to in order to charge the lipo battery?
@nitroplanes Thanks for the info. I had to dremel out the landing gear slot to make it 3/32" wider. The main gear fit snug after that. One other question: I haven't flown it yet. I noticed the prop and spinner are pointing to the right "off center" when standing behind the plane. It this a defect or some adjustment for torque?
I flew it today and it was beautiful! This is actually my first 4 Ch Plane and I knew nothing about how to fly it - but it was SO EASY TO FLY!!! I'm not an ad btw.
I highly recomend this plane to ANYONE. Amazing plane, although I was rly nervous before flight. lol
Great build video. I will be recieving mine tomorrow. I can't wait to try it out. I am a heli man, but am interested in flying the planes as well. fofunable on you tube.
@rossnorose Hey Rossnorose, I immediately notified the manufacturers regarding your feedback. Our builders would actually recommend not using the glue that comes with the plane but use Epoxy glue. That can be found at any local hobby stores or $2.50 on Hobbypartz . com (Free shipping right now too!) Hope the info helped! -cn
Yes it is bigger but the dynam is still a incredable plane for a cheaper price. FMS looks great but it is hassle to build. I have owned both and they both have there pros and cons.
It is not the same at all. Although, they made improvements since I purchased mine, it is not scale at all, it's smaller and it's not scale. Also, it's not scale. But it did serve me well as a trainer.
Great video! Thanks! And nice workshop!! Seems like the daylight helps a lot... I wish I could have one like that!!

@Mitch2556 You have to bend the landing gear inwards then input it into the insert, once its in it should hold very well.
2. The alligator clips are intended for clipping on to your Car Battery to charge
