theres different types of SD. 480p with h264 would look really good, but dvds can only do 480i mpeg2 cause the hardware is so old.

Whats SD stand for Super Definition? if so it should be called TD for Terrible Definiton SD sucks HD is way better i can only get my TV to go to 720P HD the highest i know eventually 1080P well be outdone soon but i have to face the fact that there is something always better after well not always but for the most part so it doesnt matter.

I think people who've never watched the telly before in their lives would be convinced by the above. SD resolution isn't as bad as it is shown above. Yes. HD is as good as the above, but samsung has obviously screwed up the SD image a bit to make the HD look much better by comparison. That's what capitalist pricks do.

i have a 70" inch HDTV in my house......................it feels like i'm actually in the show/movie because with HD it enhanced the visual quality........like in SD its ok but with HD i can see every little detail, groove mark even if the person is sweating i can see each sweat drop clearly and it almost feels like i'm right there

@Sk8kickflip07 No... He uploaded the video as a 1080p video, so it had to take the SD resolution (480p) and upscale it to HD (1080p) - essentially stretching the picture. the quality looks bad because the source isn't high enough resolution to fill the HD video type it was uploaded in.

@Sk8kickflip07 Its likely to be faked, but perhaps not. since the SD is downgraded twice (to SD and then to youtube 360p) and the HD side is only trough the "ruin machine" once. That might cause the difference at 360p.

Don't spend any more money for "HD" (1920x1080), soon, we'll see VHD (very high definition), unfortunately, at the moment, only games use these higher resolutions.. and only pc monitors can handle more than 1920x1080 resolutions.. :(

everybody knows HD is better than SD, but good flowing and quality bright Hd isnt cheap, you cant get good HD camcorders under 2k. thats my problem too, can anybody suggest a good HD camcorder thats good flowing quality, good low light and also like 600 $, if he can ill get him 400 subs at least, :P;)

@MagyarLapad Hi, I'm not intertesed in the subs, but I have an HD camcorder. It is a Sanyo Xacti CG10. I would highly recommend it, and it is only $300 max. Look it up. It has excellent quality reviews and I, having had it for quite a while now, would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I hope this helps.

@CJFilmz no they filmed in 1080p and lowered the resolution to 480p. It's kinda like making a picture smaller and then stretching it out to match 1080p size. Then you see a difference.

and the ps3 thig all i can say is the hd cable i bought for that was my best investment yet the difference is night and day i couldnt play it on my sons telly cos it was to bluury after playing hd thankfully hes got his hd telly now so he dont gotta play in crap quality now
