hmmm....id send it back to the company if you are still having trouble with it. but first, try out the nearest hobby store and get theiyre take on the situation. one of my four blueline mikados did that, and they got the keyboard cleaner air in a bottle and sprayed the connections and it worked. so check out a hobby store and if they cant help ya, just send it back to broadway limited
I had this same problem with a blue line prr j1 2-10-4, really annoying.
The other major problems with blue lines are the headlights, they tend to flicker and die out frequently, I had this happen with two J1's.
Its a real shame because Broadway locos are highly detailed and look beautiful, but I have had more problems with their blue line series. I think its a bad connection in the tender, check to see if the decoder is firmly plugged in.
Rachmaninov08- Hi, I have a Blueline Big Boy with the same sound problem - running reverse in DC, the sound cuts out. Did you find out what the problem was?
I think it's a decoder problem, 'cause I've experienced it with every single blueline locomotive I've had. It just seems to happen more consistently with the big boy...
I don't think Walthers plans to make an AC12 (if you're talking about cab forwards).
I know Intermountain Railway Company plans to build another run of AC-12's, and Broadway Limited (company that makes Blueline engines) plans to build a few.
I have got to be honest, blueline is terrible with their locomotives actually working. I had to take it to my hobby shop at least 3 times before they sent it back to blue line im still waiting to get it back. When they work, they are wonderful
Has anyone made one that blows out smoke steam and fire like the reals one did.

This just told me not to buy blueline!

Better yet, I'll just install a decoder of my choice. That seems to be the problem. You can't beat BLI or PCM's detail with a stick!

I just got started in HO scale modeel trains, so it will be a while until I get my hands on one of those..

Well, I'm not sure how I did it either. Sometimes it just does that. I think it depends on how long you hold down the button.

It appears to cut out everytime you blow the whistle in reverse.
Otherwise, a fantastic locomotive! Chalk another one up on the list of engines to get....
Any idea why they didn't give you number boards? Have you contacted BLI?

Now you made me drool, I've got to mop it up...
Mine should come tommorow, I can't wait...

The traction tires are probably not completely in line, an exception in these engines.

Beautiful loco! I wonder why the sound cuts out?
traindude109 3 years ago
It seems to have a wobble...it that due to the traction tires?
