@rival702 The missle apparently is just a display ornament, to showcase the torso missile that Mazingkaiser has. It does not fit in anywhere on the robot.
@OptimusPrimeSG Ugh, thats too bad. Makes no sense why they would make a missile that doesn't fit into anything. Its like making a sword that cant be held. Makes me want to choose AOshima :/
@moamoa91 I paid around USD220 when it was first released. The price is higher now and I leave it to your discretion on whether it is worth paying the additional USD50 for this piece. Personally I think it is a worthy product. =)
Well its good but unfortonly doesnt look like Kaiser in Ova at all,its like Kaiser gone on diet or something XD, and its joinks are prety stif Im afreid that maybe it fall apart(Maybe thats the deal with mine)
I prefer the Perfect Ver. Mazinkaiser, better skulp desighn and more faithgull to the Anime and lot better joinks.
@TheForgotenStef30000 Yes, Maxfactory's interpretation of Mazinkaiser is very different from the OVA, being very slim. The joints of the figure are good and you don't have to worry breaking anything because they are very durable. =)
never got a max gohkin before, but was thinking to pick this up but i am scared becase your max gohkin genesic gaogaigar broke so im kinda hesitating. is this figure better quality compare to gaogaigar?
@la22ie There is no major issue with the Mazinkaiser. It is a very well made piece by Maxfactory and definitely not poorly made like the Genesic GaoGaiGar. Rest assured to get this piece. =)
@OptimusPrimeSG Just got this figure its really nice, looks good in my collection and the magnetic shoulders is quite nice, thx for the recommendation.
hey u know the recent mazinkaiser skl super robot chogokin line that will come out this december right? It costs about 9450 yen with the Mazinkaiser vol 1 OVA DVD with it. Do u think it's worth it? I mean it is absolutely beautiful but it is still small you know. And that price is not too bad for a tamashii exclusive ain't it?
@dghkm7777 the retail price in Japan is 6090yen with the DVD. i personally will be getting it because i think the posability is good. i believe bandai will release a SOC version of it under the GX line eventually.
To be honest, I prefer the Shin Seiki Gokin version of Mazinkaiser made by Aoshima, the fact that it's slightly cheaper (still costs $100+ on the secondary market, though) and looks more anime accurate (the same thing applies to Revoltech Mazinkaiser as well) as opposed to the SRW version (this one).
@nightslash3535 I do agree that the Aoshima one is more anime accurate based on its built and sculpt. I do like it a lot as well. In fact I like both versions for different reasons as they portray Mazinkaiser differently. One is more anime accurate while one is more dynamic.
YO! Did you check the new Mazinkaizer SKL design? I am about to buy a Mazinkaiser figure but frankly when I saw the new Mazinkaizer SKL, I thought to wait 'n get it instead! It's like a mix of Grendizer and Gundam with those spooky skulls on! What do you think?
@VanDammedia I saw the new desgin and I must it rocks big time! Bandai's definitely going to make a couple of figures for this one plus a few repaints. Still, I feel the original Mazinkaiser has its appeal and I'd recommend that you get it as well if your pockets and shelf space allows you to. =)
@OptimusPrimeSG I really wish that Bandai makes Mazinkaizer SKL (I love Bandai products). And thank you for the advice; I will see how things go...and specially with my pocket LOL :))
@mrr32m Great choice on the Maxfactory Mazinkaiser. I see you're satisfying the little boy in you. I'm sure your house mates will learn to appreciate them once you put them up on display. =)
@mrr32m Hi, Aoshima Black Wing Mazinkaiser is difficult to find these days. One just closed at around USD200 on ebay recently. It's costs even more in the Japan auctions. I'd advise getting the maxfactory one as it's more economical and it looks better in terms of overall appearance. =)
I just noticed somethine - you mentioned a missle in the back of the stand, but never told what its for. Can you explain?
