yes it is a traps kit.to be honest i only ever use the bass drum when i am limited to space i still use another full size bass drum for usual gigs.space was at a minimum here so i think i used the traps bass drum you really have to tweek it to get it to sound right but all in all i love the sound of the toms.and you can carry the whole kit in in one trip not bad

Is that a traps kit? Are they any good? I'm thinking of getting one but the size of the bass drum puts me off
