@keymani I just got an MPC4000 Plus late last year and started making my first beats in January. It's got a number of filtering options under its sample-editing menus for LP filters, HP filters, a vowelizer, etc. ive been messing around with them but even though I can sort of isolate a bassline or horn part it doesn't have the tight filtered sound of stuff like this or Beatminerz production. i'm probably just not doing it right cause im a newbie haha

Also, come-on, this is "The Infamous"(a hip hop class), if Dilla did have an involvement, do you think he would leave it unnoticed? He's credited online for D'Angelo's "Voodoo" album. I own that album and I don't his name anywhere.

I have to acknowledge the credit's argument though: Dilla would have said something about that. In fact, he never ghost-produced for Tip or ATCQ: you can see Yancey on songwriters of all the songs he was involved in.
