  • haha! for me it's funny know that the name of this band is my second surname! really, i'm Rocio Salazar Tavares, LOL!

  • I like this version best!! I was NOT the biggest fan of disco when it first was popular..I was one of those "disco-sux" punks, but this song made the difference!!

  • lol..when i worked in a fast-food joint as a teenager, we used to disco-dance in the back room after cleanup..this is one of the songs we would dance to...

  • this music remember my love Gabrielle

  • I'd like a suit like that please lol

  • klassieker nog steeds steen goed

  • THIS IS THE VERSION THAT HAS THE SOULFUL SEVENTIES FEEL...

    GEORGE SLADEK

  • and if i lose your love i know i would die

  • I thought the bee gee's wrote this song?

Anyway, I like both versions ...

  • we can take forever just a minute at a time :)

  • Why cant we just stay in those late 70s discos ,should have bought a lifetimes admission !!!!

  • @oct201981

Couldn't agree more. Late 70s and early 80s...best dance music ever!

  • i always liked this song

  • @CARMELTEASE this song is the bomb................memories

  • my cape verde brothers, so fine

  • i go back every friday on u tube only way we can

  • this song means so much to a friend of mine I knew when I was young and he didn't notice me. fast forward 10 years this became our song.

  • The 70s were my happiest times, if only we could just press rewind.

  • @246Gill There you go, if we could only go back...

  • God i wish you could just click the repeat button once and it would have to be pressed again

  • Written by the Bee Gees, but this rendering is even better than the Bee Gees'.

  • Tavares is really one unforgettable group bec of their good music.

  • very good song with TAVARES and BEE GEES, nice words

  • I didn't even know there was another version of this song until I saw saturday night fever, both are amazing songs!!

  • i wish i can go back and live in the 70's...seemed like way better times then. Groovy :)

  • @bunnygal079 It was Bunnygal but it was'nt just the music, we were young too. That's the best part whenever you were born, even though it hurt when we screwed up as the young often do. We had it all though and we were more privilleged than we ever knew.

  • Gotta agree with you guys. Both versions are great and unique in their own way. First time I ever liked a song equally well by different artists.

  • tavares and bee gees sound good alike they should do perform 2gether like that that a be nice.

  • To Coin one of today's annoying expressions. 'This is the Shit!'

  • Yeah I like this better than the BeeGees versions too

  • @shellybellysf, I love both versions because they are both so different, which is great.

  • That dude on the left looks like he's gonna fuck me up!

  • Fell in love with this version the first time I heard it, a looooonnnng time ago. I think its better than the Bee Gees version. Its all good...

  • BOBBIN MY HEAD ALL THE WAY TO BED BABY! .. GOOD SOUL MUSIC .. JUST WHAT THE DOC ORDERED!

  • The original is always the best!

  • @MrFerminReyes

this isn't the original...the Bee Gees version is

  • The brothers Tavares.... Chubby, Ralph, Pooch,Butch and Tiny. They proved that they were the best group to record More Than a Women besides the Bee Gees.

  • this music is better than 2day garbage 100% better

  • I always loved how Tavares and the Bee Gees did this song - both in their own style. Loved both!

  • Love this song...OMg

  • Un saludo para la mujer de la que estuve locamente enamorado y que nunca volví a ver allá por los 77s INES MUÑOZ FUENTES de Marina Nacional Yo era su vecino

  • This version is all right, but I prefer the tenderness in the Bee Gees version.

  • THIS SONG IS IT, MAN

  • Oh Yeah!Great music!Without problems in the head!

  • Fantastic track. Brings back so many memories of the '70s when life was so much more simple and enjoyable.

  • great song, fall river and new bedford massachusetts homeboys made it big...

  • great song

  • Both versions are good but I personally love this best. I like more soul and I love the lead (Butch's ) voice so much. The sing it with so much meaning I get all silly when I listen to them. This is what music used to be.

  • @boomerang905

Beautiful arrangement: a flute and a harp.

  • @MyJ66 ....that's very true! : ) It goes to show talent doesn't need a whole lot of synthetic sounds to push it over! Thanks for the comment!

  • I love both Tavares & The Bee Gees performing this song the best in their own beautiful unique distinctive way.

  • @BBQFanNo1 completely agree with you

  • @BBQFanNo1 That is so very true. I actually love them both and I guarantee which ever comes on, something will be evoked in me. I just love Butche's voice on all the songs by the Tavares. Madame Butterfly really gets me!

  • @BBQFanNo1 Ditto

  • Brilliant !

  • wonderful music i love it !!!!!!!!!!!11

  • My dad Harvey loved this group so much when I was a little girl he worked 12 hours a day and on the weekend he will lay on the shag rug with me under is arm and listen to the Tavares all day and I mean all day .He would play there songs over and over I thought he was crazy but after a month he had me hooked to.I would save my money and buy they album none of my friends would come and listen because they said that I played it to much but I did not care.44 and still love them.

  • @Akatsuki250 Thats a wondrfull story!

  • Ya i like this songs now !!!

  • omg love this song...:)

saturday night fever like the best film ever

and jhon travolta was pretty hott

back in the days thanks for posting

  • I would rather hear the Bee Gees version.

  • @luckyday465768 damm right brotherb:)

  • That person who disliked never hada WOMAN !!!!

  • @luckyday465768 Than go to the Bee Gees version

  • what is the brother's name that is standing in the middle?

  • @MichaelForever25

Chubby, Ralph, Butch, Pooch and Tiny (left to right)

  • I never get tired of this track.

  • My favorite song from the soundtrack! The Bee Gees had a good version of it too.

  • @ swingit your right Bruth!@

  • Bring back the 70s groove! :D Wiggle Yeah!

  • The best version!

  • great vocals, a little to bland instrumentation for me.

  • These guys might be the greatest and most underrated R&B group EVER!

  • WOW WOW WOW it's wayyyyyy better than the B gees

  • @stevieplez2 LOL, you just now finding this out?

  • Just another great song that the Bee Gees wrote. I do like this version the best because it was the one played in the movie.

  • Makes me sweat jus listen"..Kay C.

  • Beautiful instrumentation--strings, flute, harp. Marvelous arrangement.

  • Nothing is more than a WOMAN,as many a MAN, has and will find OUT.

    FROM UK.

  • I Listen To This While Im Getting Ready To Go To A Club!.... It Turns My Into A Beast On The Dancefloor! :)

  • sound quality is excellent

  • This version is the best..... so much more feelling....Great....:D

  • this is by far the best version...even though the Bee Gees version is good

  • This is the first time I've heard this version, and I like it better than the Bee Gees' version.

  • @nonchalantd It's played in Saturday Night Fever!

  • they are both really good, each has different vibe to it, this is more upbeat and motownish while Bee Gees is more romantic and sincere , since Barry wrote it though the song is different meant to be sung in his style

  • @Kcunningham17 definitely* not different

  • Ohhhh! Brings much so many wonderful memories!! Makes me verrrryyyy happy!!!!!!!!!

  • just special song ///////////

  • i love this version way more than bee gees

  • Comment removed

  • TIMELESS

  • Tavares Rock! The lead singer has an awesome voice

  • This brings such fun memories ... sneaking into the cinema to watch Sat. night fever many times at aged 15 .. so in love with John Travolta then haha .. love this song!

  • Such a classic! Better than the Bee Gee's version, IMO.

  • I must have asked out about 5 to 6 girls out with this song, funny they all said yes..love it!!

  • I like this version better because Tavares sang it with more range and soul and it isn't in all falsetto like in the Beegees version. I also like the instrumental part because this is the more danceable version.

  • another one of those sound,s that you can just get up on the dance floor and lose your self to.

  • great talents even nicer asses. talk about buns of steel!!

  • Maravillosa versión, mejor que la de los Bee Gees...

  • o man what these oldies do 2 me n im 27 i guest im an old soul.

  • Do these guys still perform I wonder?

  • i dunno. i think bee gees version is much better

  • amazing version... the better

  • BARRY GIBB IS A GREAT SONGWRITER, BUT THIS VERSION IS FAR SUPERIOR.

  • best 70s band.....

  • Gorączka soboniej nocy :d :D

  • "You are!!!"

  • I love the BeeGees but this is another firm example of taking a popular song and making it your own and watching it turn out better than the original. Not many have that sort of luck and these guys are one of the few!

  • this version is way better than the beegees version. tavares hailed from new bedford mass, i love em

  • @topcatroar61oliosc Yes, this is one of a few examples, out of a million cover versions, that were better than the original. Amazing cover version, much respect to The Tavares

  • @topcatroar61oliosc Agreed!

  • al some

  • Best version .....

  • Excellent !

  • I know that your mother Shu was so proud of you guys. Her sons turned out to be so amazing and to share their love for music with the world. For me you guys touched my heat when I hear your music and your not bad to look at nether. May people still will be listing to Tavares long after they are gone. I love you guys and keep giving us your heart and we as your fans will keep listening.

  • Simply another dance classic from a memorable period. You had to live thru the whole scene to appreciate it.

  • @Baseball78ful Yeah Happy Days Indeed!!!!

  • the Gibbs wrote it especially for Tavares. Hit #32 in Billboard, 5-6-78. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Bee gees are my second favourite band, but I admit this is by far the best version

  • @Walkerboy202 I thought so too. I don't know which one to chose, both group sang this song well....Never get tired of this song!!!

  • @moonlitedance44 I know yeah

  • They had such a rich vocal style. Sorry fans of the other version, but this is the real one.

  • @IYAMNI NO I DON'T THINK SO , BUT TAVARES KICKS ASS TOO!

  • @mrinformado We can respectfully disagree :-)

  • @IYAMNI Yes, this is definitely the definitive version.

  • @IYAMNI actually its not the real one... bee gees and tavares recorded same time for a movie belonging to neither there both good. you cant say its the real version lol,

  • @Dayfoxx7000 haha.Fair enough, but I think you're taking me a bit seriously. It was a statement of preference, entirely hyperbolic and intentionally teasing. I like the Brothers Gibb even before the disco years, but on this particular cut I think they were one upped. Let me amend to say when put side by side, this 'sounds' like the real version. ;-)

  • Tavares were oustanding, the disco beats in the late seventies and early eighties was so electricfying and with Tavares they were no exception.

Tavares so dynamic and they brought classical disco beats.

    Tavares are so classically electirfying.
