@clipsryan If you would do some real historical research, you would find that the celtic christian tradition of cutting down and putting up a tree was a representation of the resurrection. The point of it being an evergreen is that God lives forever. And it is put in a place of prominence in the household to show that Jesus should be at the center of our lives and families. The tradition of gift giving started with the 3 wisemen that gave baby Jesus presents of gold, frankincense, and myrr.

DO NOT take Christmas out of stores and schools. That is the WORST thing we could do. As soon as prayer was taken out of schools, shootings started to happen. "When you take God out you let the devil in" Separating Christmas and schools is the WORST idea I have ever heard.

Prayer can't even save kids of cancer so don't you selfishly force non-theist and non-christian kids to respect something you can just do in your head or before you come to school.
