  • The character Mr. Moore is playing - 'Bill Cruller' - Is obviously a parody on Bill Cullen, the host of the original 'The Price Is Right', from '56 to '65.

  • Our RCA Victor 19 inch TV died that year after an episode of Zorro,(probably couldn't stand the acting.). I have fond memories of 1958. Times are much different now. Carol Burnett is a genius, and we all miss her on Network TV. God bless, Carol.

  • Jock Mahoney was Sally Field's father

  • Really?

  • Step-father, actually.

Ne Jacques O'Mahoney, lest you are interested.

  • @alleycat62021 Correction, Mahoney was Field's STEPfather.

  • Kenlo: Jock was her step father, not her biological father.

  • @kenlo77 sally field was his STEP-daughter

  • @kenlo77 HGWT5763. 01/03/06/2011 A.D. STEPFATHER,MY FRIEND.

  • Ok, I know these clips are 11 yrs before my time, but I don't understand the Garry Moore show. That's clearly Aunt Clara (Marion Lorne), George 'G'obel, and Carol Burnett, but why are they playing other people? Was that just part of the show?

  • It was a skit on his show. They put together a fake TV show and had Gobel, Burnett etal play playing the cast. Burnett used to do these on her show all the time.

  • In the close up shot of the 77 Sunset Strip intro, they're in a '58 T-bird, but in the long shot of the street, they're driving a full size '58 Ford Fairlane.

  • W@e had only had our Admiral "portable" B&W TV for about a year when the Fall, 1958 TV onslaught hit. What a season!
