  • Why the fuck would you wanna see what people are tweeting? Or what they're looking at on their Facebook? Who cares. It's a good app.

  • hier ist ein tutorial: watch?v=sSN9Ho2bYew

  • what kinda data plan does this guy have? 2mb?

  • DOES IT WORK WITH YOUTUBE VIDEOS????

  • To onavo :) keep up the good work, ppl that think : OMG, they CAN see what we have done! they have to be stupid! you wondt do that. The app is GREAT and works! what I would like to see soon is that you compress MUSIC, i understand compressing VIDEO have to be really hard :D LOve you onavo <3 and... the paid version could offer : music, video, apps, while the free is the basic SAFARI, email ? just an idea :D

  • Onavo, please answer this question. What so you do with all the info you get? Do you read eny of it? And apple does not allow apps that changes the system so how can this app eaven work??!

  • i <3 onavo.

  • DO NOT USE ONAVO WITHOUT READING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ! ! !

All they're doing is routing your traffic using a proxy/VPN that they control. They can see and do anything they want with your data!

Just use Opera Browser to compress or block images... Better yet, just don't browse when you have an expensive data plan.

  • This app works, it changes a setting at the beginning and you have to confirm this via iTunes. I also never saw this before but Apple seems to allow that and has also the built in technology to allow apps change the systrm settings (but only if they are verified by Apple).

  • I also have a serious problem with the fact they you guys seem to lie about how it works. Calling it an app that runs in the background to compress data and that you already have it working with specific apps. That's BS. Apple doesn't allow that. Just come clean and tell everyone your not compressing your downgrading with a proxy route and you see everything they do and have no clear policy on what you will do with that personal information

  • Hey IleanaLucciano,

Thanks for you comment! Let me respond with a few quick points:

    1. We love Opera Mini - for the web. We are but trying to bring the same benefit to all apps on your iPhone as these use more of your time and data than web browsing.

    2. All data we collect is aggregate and fully anonymized, no different from what your operator or ISP might. It's so that we can improve the service. We don't store any content - only stats to help YOU manage your usage.

    info@onavo.com

  • @yuvalariav and how are you making money? God and angels are depositing cash for doing good to people? or you are selling aggregated traffic data to advertisers? even to Israeli government?

  • @leoncariz Onavo is free now but won't stay that way. Our business model is to charge for our service, not to monetize personal data. We are helping people save money and it'll be justifiable to ask for a small sum in

return (of course, this will be low enough that you still save overall). We DO NOT intend to sell our users' data in any way (there's better business for us in enjoying part of the savings with the users).

  • Onavo routes all your internet traffic through a proxy server they control. They intercept all of your web, email, Facebook and twitter traffic and store a history of your browsing activity. They are not clear about what the will do with all of the information they store about you. They trim your data usage by changing fonts and reducing the quality of images before it is passed to your phone. It's not revolutionary at all. Opera has done it for years and isn't misleading about how they operate

  • great product. who produced this video for you guys?

  • @osdifnas i did :)
