I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did at some moments in that show when I was a kid; now i get to laugh for different reasons. I totally get some of the jokes, and it makes the show good for different reasons.
Just wanted to add that celebs give an outline of what they want to disscuss sometimes and they almost always point out beforehand what the interviewer cant ask, such as things they are sick of talking about or personal shit they dont want mentioned.
it's like this interview, like conan would probably ask juicy questions about the roseanne show that the audience would want to know, instead since craig doesn't know the hell he's talking to, he'll just talk to them about mundance boring things instead of asking them about their projects, you can tell when he doesn't know a guest cause he doesn't ask about their past projects, sorry just had to get that out that he's kind of annoying
The show Roseanne ended over 10 years ago. I think all the "juice" from the show has been squeezed. It would seem pretty outdated and irrelevant to continue asking about that when she is currently doing stand-up and has moved on with her life. just sayin'....
the thing about craig ferguson is that since he's scottish, most of the time, he has no idea who the American celebrities are that he's talking to (until he reads the prep bios his staff gives him), which gets kind of annoying sometimes especially when he's dealing with people we all know (like Roseanne), like he'll interview Tony Danza (and Roseanne like he did just now) and didn't know they had very popular TV series, and his interview with Kathy Griffin just showed how phony and unfunny he is
But Roseanne was also hugely popular in the UK too just so you know, so Craig is aware of how famous she is in America.
Craig's style of interviewing just tries to be different to other late night shows out there. He's said it before that he doesn't like being told what to say by other people and if they want to know stuff they should ask themselves. Therefore Craig asks what interests him and thats what makes his interviews unique and unpredictable
I think this is the first time that Craig actually gets freaked out, normally he freaks out his guests but Rosie is just a whole different level of intensity.
