This is actually my 1st Texas Chainsaw Massacre film I saw, and I was 14. I saw the original when I was 16, I think that was more realistic and really disturbing. This movie was disturbing too, you actually see Leatherface rip a guys skin and face off. You can see his bones & skeleton. I didn't expect this ending, I thought the girl was about to get away like every other horror movie, but Leatherface comes out of nowhere and kills her, the victim, and the police. And thats the end. Crazy movie.

This is the shittiest ending in the history of shit endings. She just happened to:

-not hear the big fucker breathing in the back of the somewhat quiet car

-not notice the fat fucker overweigh the car

And yet

-his chainsaw magically works, even though he didn't start it up first

-this so-called "physcho" killer, instead of killing her face to face, teleported in the car (she had the keys), hid, and sucker-slashed a woman.

Even if the walk back was 50 miles or so, one whole day of walking would have got her at least near some place where she could call for help. The moment she saw that biker get shot at the start was a big clue to the fact that her friends were goners. She said "there's no help to go for" but she didn't even try.

Its a prequel, everyone has to die for the story to work. And the point is to show the origin of Leatherface. I mean, for christ's sake, it even says "The beginning" in the title of the movie. How stupid can you be?

There are actualy 5 alternate endings. The fifth is the best. this version happens after Leatherface appears in the back seat of the car. Chrissie stops the car and Leatherface gets thrown out the front window. Chrissie runs, but Leatherface appears in front of her and rams his chainsaw throughout her stomach, gutting her completely. When Leatherface stops gutting Chrissie, he takes off his mask and starts eating pieces of her organs.
