  • I love Hall & Oates, part of me will always want to marry Daryl Hall, and this is one of the best songs ever, I was in 4th grade too when this came out. It almost makes me want to cry when I hear it...I don't know why! You know Daryl Hall is 64 now, and still hot.

  • Groooooooovy !!!!!!!

  • you like this song, yes i like too!!

  • This song doesn't go out of my head, since a person played it, when I stood beside this person...

I hear it very often and I really like it! :)

  • I was just in 5th grade when this song came out-loved it then, still love it now!

  • @mzmary71

In 1980, I was in the 4th grade - I love this song even more now than I did back then! (Especially when I compare it to some of the stuff that's out today. LOL)

  • Wow?? This is in a Kiss playlist! I'm glad I like Hall and Oates.

  • RIP T-Bone ...you're a huge reason why I love Hall and Oates since my childhood....you were always just as important and I know Hall and Oates would agree

Thank You for sharing your gifts with the world

  • dude...I totally agree, but I'm pretty sure this is from after 86 when he and GE left to do the snl gig full time...don't think that's even Mickey on drums...don't think he ever played on anything other than Yamaha due to his endorsement agreement.

  • i like this song my mom play this all the time

  • This was one of the songs that reminded me over the years of a girl that I loved in high school. I moved 2 states away, but I never forgot her over the years. Two marriages (each) and miles separating us did not keep us from finding each other again. I love you, Lesia.....

  • lovely!

  • Popular?!? It was an outright NUMBER 1 my friend.

  • I was born in 1981.

  • For me, the best song of Hall & Oates. A masterpiece!!!

I still remember that times with my teenagers friends in summer 1981.

  • i think this is their best song too :D

i don't remember times with my teenager friends listening to this though, cause pretty much none of my friends like this song. or any of the songs i like. their tastes end at r&b xP

  • This was Billboard Number One song on my birthday April 13 1981

  • hey, im april 13 1990!

  • 10cc early stuff....class

  • really brilliant their songs are amazing i'm a young musician and i'm always listening to old songs and i think the older bands are more talented and more refined

  • I agree that it seems like older music is better, but there's a logical reason for it. When you listen to music from earlier decades, realize that what you're hearing is literally the best - you're hearing what was good enough to survive. The crappy music was forgotten as time goes on. However, today, we get ALL of the music, because time hasn't had time to sort out the good from the bad. You know?

  • Today's youngsters just don't have the patience to sit down, relax and enjoy these fantastic songs from yesteryear.

  • hahaha...good song man....

  • For me, it's the best song from Hall & Oates!!! I love it!!!

  • THIS IS MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT rapcrap

  • Why can't this kind of music be popular, as opposed to rap

Those day are all but over my friend.......it's called talent there is none today !

  • I LOVE this song!!!!! Why can't this kind of music be popular, as opposed to rap?? That music is awful. This music, on the other hand, is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love thissssss

  • we need more music like this .........

  • Hey jef n michelle, can i have my donkey back now? thx . . . .aka ron jeremy (just had a thought for a new film title . . . . `three donkeys & a stripper`) like it? lol.

  • Michele says that she forgives you and still wants to turn in to a goose with you :-)

  • This guys can wail!

  • she is 41 years young, her kiss is on the top of my list, and yup she never heard of Hall&Oates until we met and I am 54 and you humans younger than me liking Hall&Oates? spot on! be sure to look for "say it isn't so" fun to watch, the music, not the theme, yep I Love her

  • classic...

  • These guys exude Philly soul. What fantastic songwriters. Their bridges in their songs and guitar or sax solos are integral and unforgettable.

  • OMG I have loved these guys since I was 7-8 years old back in the 70's, then through the 80's, and never heard them live...I have even more respect and liove for them after hearing this! Great post...thanks!

  • lo maximo, daryl hall and john oates

  • Wow! I have always loved them, even though sometimes (when I was a teen) I thought they weren't cool. But now I am certain they are fantastic. Yeah, both Hall & Oates look cute in this vid.

  • Com a KT Tunstall é bom também!!

  • always had such perfect hair..i'm jealous!

  • In 1985 I started to give up on the ridiculous cult leader Roy Masters, and listening to this and other H&O songs, helped me to recover! No more cults for me!

  • This is a great song

and they do a good job live too.

    Daryl cute in this video

  • Best. Song. Ever.

  • dragondreams01 you only hate this song and video cause all you listen to is shit. Plus your name is so retarded.

  • perfecto :)

  • WOW! What a song.

  • They were so cute back then you could just eat them with a spoon! LOL Great song great duo.....thanks for posting...

  • First Hall and Oates song I heard..I was in sixth grade. Love Them!

  • Same 6th grade 1980 ... loved this track.

  • I love the chords. If you have a piano, press the following notes with your right hand (starting with your thumb): B-flat, E-flat, and G. For the base, simple play it with a C-octave. Right there, is an amazing sound. The song is just loaded with amazing chords. The sheet music is available and is written in the same key as the recording. It's well worth finding!

Daryl increases the intensity of the chords at just the right moments. This piano art work enhances the sound immensely.

  • Summer of 1981. I remember this song well. And so does Erica.

  • Yeah, she was easy!

  • That's probably the most out of tune bass guitar I've ever heard by a pro band. Other than that it's awesome.

  • not possible to eat a goat unless its bbq'd

  • Hey, that's my dad on the guitar solo too. And who the f*** are you guys with my Tara's kiss on your lists?
