This terrific live version is better than the recorded version. Outstanding guitar solo indeed. Brings back great memories of Pop and soul from the early 80's.
I love Hall & Oates, part of me will always want to marry Daryl Hall, and this is one of the best songs ever, I was in 4th grade too when this came out. It almost makes me want to cry when I hear it...I don't know why! You know Daryl Hall is 64 now, and still hot.
In 1980, I was in the 4th grade - I love this song even more now than I did back then! (Especially when I compare it to some of the stuff that's out today. LOL)
I may be in the minority on this, but I think this is one of the most underrated live performances ever. Great arrangement, excellent energy, better than the original. The band is on fire!
dude! why does GE Smith lok like Hugh Laurie???? They should play the Bishop and the Warlord if he's gonna look like Hugh!!!! I'm assuming that's not GE by the way. what year is this from???
RIP T-Bone ...you're a huge reason why I love Hall and Oates since my childhood....you were always just as important and I know Hall and Oates would agree
dude...I totally agree, but I'm pretty sure this is from after 86 when he and GE left to do the snl gig full time...don't think that's even Mickey on drums...don't think he ever played on anything other than Yamaha due to his endorsement agreement.
This was one of the songs that reminded me over the years of a girl that I loved in high school. I moved 2 states away, but I never forgot her over the years. Two marriages (each) and miles separating us did not keep us from finding each other again. I love you, Lesia.....
i love the song specially when ms. regine velasquez revive this song. very beautiful. if you want to hear the rendention of ms. regine it is in her album covers 2. love it...
