  • What a beautiful animal ! Unfortunatly we dont have cougar in France.

  • I want to have sex with one :D

  • Good pictures, terrible music.

  • soon be gone my ass.. theyre all over here in oregon theyre jus sneaky fucks.. i kill em.

  • a cougar isnt really a big cat because it lacks the abillity to roar

  • I think hunters kill about 2000 cougars/year. This second largest cat in Western Hemisphere, will soon be gone.

  • i saw one last week at school it was 75 yards away from the school. it was almost white

  • wrong. the jaguar is bigger

  • @giacosarojo not exactly native

  • @MrRafusa ??

    the jaguar is native

  • These cats are being hunted by sport hunters.

    Sad.=/

  • Cheetahs are bigger than cougars in the small cat family I believe. Jaguars are bigger in the Americas. They are part of the big cat family, as you know.

  • @AlanRussellFuller actually cheetahs aint bigger than cougars they are taller and maybe longer but the cougar is stockier and on average they weigh more than cheetahs!

  • LOL. a personality test told me I was a wild cat, and had a picture of a cougar next to my results... But I hate young guys.

  • They live in north america and south, from alaska all the way down to the bottom of south america. There are other countries in the world besides america you know.

  • an amazing cat

  • @kungfujellybean I live northern Arizona, & lions are all over, but way too clever & sneaky. I've lived here my entire life, & I've never seen one in the wild. So you're not the only one!

  • your all video sucks i mean all pictures which are fake and gay and downloaded from google fuck ,every 1 can do that shit even 11 year old boy so guys dont sub this fake kid

  • Cougar is not a big cat. Despite its size, it's the biggest of the small cat family. They aren't closely related to something like a jag (which is classified as a big cat), although can grow almost as large.

  • Cougars need to be stop getting hunted they are amazing animals im sure God will save them thumbs up if you agree people :)

  • They aren't big cats , they are americas largest cats. To be considered a big cat isnt it over 300 pounds?

  • @shukaku no, it is based off of their vocal chords for some reason, and if they can roar.

yes, mountain lions are not big cats, but many big cats arent over 300 pounds. (cougars are about 150 maximum, 130 average)

  • @mcmikeblues

They can get up to 100 kg (220 lbs), so your maximum figure is low.

  • lmao i love the cougar in red dead redemption game they be killing the whole town with the claws lol

  • i hope i see one in Canada someday. rumors of the eatsern cougar are all over :D

  • I like how people are shocked that cougars are killing moose, and foxes, and other animals. Thats what they have been doing since wayyyyy before we got here. So If they kill one of us, thats our problem. We entered their land. They are just doing what they have to do to survive

  • @crimson25haze oh wow..finally some1 saying the same thing i've always said..there is something REALLY weird about people not understanding nature.. I'm vegetarian, and my fam whom all eat meat will sit and HOWL over a BEAR that killed a man (the man was obviously out hunting for it), and while they chew their beef or pork or chicken, they don't think about how many animals per DAY the human being kills all over the world just to EAT!and when i calmly state that; cont...

  • @crimson25haze ...-the man had it coming didn't he? he went in 2 the bears land..trying to KILL it..so what SHOULD the bear do? just sit down and say -oh well, here i am??.. do i even need to mention the silent weird looks i get?? thought i don't..u catch my tune.. it's so friggin WEIRD that people do not understand it..it's like they think that the bear has commited a premeditated murder and should go to trial.... i should become an wild animal lawyer or something i think..

  • Cougars are Overgrown Housecats with Attitudes lol

  • They're beautiful cats. They aren't threatened. They're increasing. Even in California where hunting is banned on cougars the state instead of making money on hunting tags has to pay professionals to kill them for control purposes.

For Trancemad who "would love to see these wild in America..." No you wouldn't. Unless you're an experienced hunter the only way you'd see one is if it's stalking you. You don't surprise a cougar. They surprise you.

  • @rlaycock not true i was hiking with my dogs the other day and we walked right up behind one and scared the crap out of it I amed my .357 at it and it walked into the trees with its tail between its legs lol

  • north and south america have the coolest most badass animals IMO, after africa and asia. then australia.

  • i saw one in waterton they are huge it was scary he was like 5 feet away =P

  • Say a footprint one day and the hole from claw where insane

  • Canadas big cat...

  • @GunerzPGBC canada and america both have cougars even florida: the florida panther.

  • @IslandThunder84 Yeh I know. But its still Canadas big cat. And by the way. PANTHERS SUCK! GO CANUCKS! Lol.

  • When I was hunting up at my lake in Saskatchewan we sawa cougar, din;t shoot it of course, but it was fun to watch it stalk this hare and take off with it.....

  • puma,beautiful big cat

  • This isn't America's big cat, it's the jaguar.

  • @michmex240sx hey its a cougar !

  • I just bought one with a 289 2v. Great little animal

  • These cats got there names from the Inca who named them puma which means fierce predator

in the south american andes pumas hunt and kill guannacos

  • I just read an article about how a cougar snuck out of its cage and into a lions, at the zoo. A fight broke out and lasted about 90 seconds before the cougar tore the lions throat out. It was a male lion vs a female cougar. I was shocked :o

  • @Fade2Dark The only way that is possible is if the lion was old and sick. An african lion against a cougar is like a 8 year old kid figting an full grown man.

  • @Gazelle53 I saw a video of a pit bull bringing down a female lion, as where I saw another video of a cougar bringing down a kodiac bear. My bets on cougar.

  • @Fade2Dark There is a video on You Tube of a brown bear CUB fighting off a full grown cougar. If an adult cougar could not handle a 50 lb bear cub, how could it hadle a 1500 lb Kodiak with massive strength and 5 inch claws. Also a pit bull against a female lion?...another laughable mismatch...I don't think you are serious, I think you are messing with us.

  • @Gazelle53 I dont think a Pitbull could even beat a Wolf lol.

  • I would love to see these in the wild in America. Such a beautiful , agile and aggressive animal.

  • @Trancemad1984 no you wouldnt lol

  • @Trancemad1984 i did ,they are good animals just keep your distance they wont hurt you they just get defensful esaliy thats just tier lifestlye but as long as they dont feel threathen they will leave you alone, thier great i love mountain lions

  • @Trancemad1984 Cougars' numbers are increasing here in Upsate New york & they're killing moose, foxes, horses and house pets. New Yorkers may be next, just like folks in the midwest have been attacked and sometimes killed by cougars.

  • @ggblueam, the number are not increasing, the problem is that human are taking their terretories... cougars will get to a time where they have no where to go and will have to meet with human by force and starvation.

  • @ggblueam, the number are not increasing, the problem is that human are taking their terretories... cougars will get to a time where they have no where to go and will have to meet with human by force and starvation. and it is already happening.

  • @DonChilenito Not true we have millions of acers of land set aside for animals and a lot of that land you cant fish, hunt, trap, ride or drive on exep for on aprooved trailes or roads the blm has lots ove land used for cuting wood on and hunting and traping and some of it is wild life study areas and its prohibited to ride on or cut wood on and also conservation officers and hunters expand habitats as well throue the pit mans tax and the costs of tags and so on any ways animals have lots of land -

  • @DonChilenito set aside for animals and here in northern arizona there is land as far and farther than the eye can see that is uninhabited by humans and the cougers love it here and thay are in no danger of geting pooshed away im not trying to start an argument but i will poosh the fact that animals have millions of acers of land and lots of it is protected and it has laws and regulations to ehshore healthy habitats for the animals.

  • @gary77777778888888

nice to read this, i hope you are right

(tigers have not this luck :( )

  • @Trancemad1984 they keep finding them over hear in VictorVille CA ,USA

  • @Trancemad1984 my uncle killed two.....

  • @bazookajoethethird with a gun

  • If you want to see cougars in the wild, try south western Oregon. The cougar population has gone through the roof the last 20 years. BUT even here most people have not seen them in the wild. They are a very secretive animal. There have been cougars sighted in Medford city limits. Even close to one of the grade schools.

A beautiful but scary animal. Respect them.

  • so beautiful and so sweet cat...

  • who stronger

    lion or a mountain lion?

  • the Liger is the strongest.

  • WONDERFUL MUSIC, this caught the animals spirit very nicely.

  • i heard 4 attacks per year in north americas by pumas on humans-almost always on children/small women-ocassionally they will attack a jogger or cyclist-as like all cats they are programmed to attack fleeing prey-so dont run or crouch-usually u can scare them away by shouting, approaching or hitting them-certainly throwing stones or sticks will drive them away-they do kill a lot of dogs -pumas could never be compared to an equivelant weight leopard or jaguar [true big cats] as they are much weaker

  • did u know cougars, pumas ,mountain lions are not big cats-they are refered to as the "biggest of the small cats" ?

they are much more weakly built than big cats-they have small jaws, small heads and a less robust frame -they utilise speed like a caracal -infact a cougar is like a carcal [desert lynx] but two or three times the size-like the caracal- pumas also prey on small defenceless prey generally-like hares and deer-pumas are totally dominated by jaguars where they share territories

  • @ Glenn:Next to none. That isn't to say it has never happened, or that it never will.

But lets just say that statistically, your odds of getting killed buy your own dog are greater then becoming involved in a cougar attack.

  • This pisses me off. Everybody in my family has seen one except me.

  • @kungfujellybean Same..

  • How common are attacks by these in America as at one stage they seemed to have almost died out?

  • Google is your friend. ;P

It also depends on -where- in America. Cougars are more numerous in the west near the Rockys. I live in the northeast, and you're lucky to see a bobcat here, forget a cougar.

  • Here kity,kity !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dumbass American, learn to respect nature.

  • Never crouch down at one!!!!!

  • Rawr.

  • what a magnificent animal, would love to see one for real

  • for real

  • never turn yur back on one

  • I was in Rocky Mountain park n Colorado a long time ago. We had day hiked on a trail that follows the head waters of the Colorado river up to an old gold mining town site called Lulu city. On our way back my brother and I think we heard a cougar. It was low, but it sounded like a warning growl. A sort of 'I'm here' growl. Well, about a half mile further down the trail we heard the mewing of kittens. We didn't see them but we had to be nearly on top of them. .

  • i live in the Backcountry of West Virginia and tonight i heard one fightin some of my neighbors dogs man it was a heck of a fight bout 4 dogs 1 panther and it smacked one of the dogs faces i went to grab my shotgun to shoot the darn thing went outside and all you heard was the dogs chasing this lion down the mountain into the valley below i decided not to persue because it was too late at night dogs survived but were hurt badly, so if you see one of these things be careful there dangerous!!!!

  • amazing animal graceful !!!

  • brrrrr

  • if i saw one of them while i was hunting and it was coming at me i would shoot that son of a bitch

  • And if no one was around i would put a bullet in your chest for being cruel you fuck.

  • Cute Cat Cougar

  • The Cougar in Americas must be equal to the Leopard in Africa. Middle and very violent. The Jaguar would be equal to the Lion.

  • Yes, cougar resembles leopard in many ways. But isn't jaquar rather similar to tiger rather than lion, if we speak about life style? Solitary hunters who prefer to ambush in thick vegetation, and like water.

  • I wanted to say only on the strength and not way of life. I expressed myself badly. And before I forget ... the tiger and the lion are much stronger than the jaguar.

    It was a rough comparison.

  • jaguar is america's big cat, true there are only a few left in america, but they are still heavy in south america and even up to mexico city. They can weigh double what a couger does.

  • This may not be true, but aren't there some lynx that live in Alaska?

  • America's big cat is the panther? A Cougar,Puma and Panther are the same animal!

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Cougar cubs look alot like snow Leopards

    00:25

  • ...panthers are black jaguars

  • wtf?

  • no and black jaguars r regular jaguars w/ diff pigment not diff species

  • or leopards, and even occurs in cougars, though its rare.

  • panther is a common nickname for cougar in the south...florida panther is a cougar subspecies and here in NC we have a very rare big cat thats black...possible jag or coug, nobodies caught 1 and its illegal to shoot cougars here so those that have been killed have not been documented. a guy deer hunting a canal on my property saw 2 walking the bank

  • awesome make a vid like that for jag

  • what a beautiful animal!

  • excuse me whats the name of the old song of the video plz

  • coyote is like *oh shit!* at 1:24

  • I live in South Carolina and I have seen one.

  • The old music was much better and it misses me alot

  • Idiot! America's big cat is the Panther period!

  • We have a few up here in N calif, I've seen their tracks/scat, lit up their eyes at night, and heard them making weird noises before but I have yet to see a wild 1 out in the open.

  • if you like big cats check out the new species of ligers they r huge giant cats mixed with a lion and tiger

  • V_V won't they all avoid getting injured and not

even risk fighting? That's why it's rare when they do encounter and fight, it all depends who's hungrier? Is one defending their cubs?

    V_______________V

  • puma powaa:p

  • Cougar, America's 40+ sexually starved women

  • someone smart please help me

    im bored on cam j6

  • They are so big, strong and fast.

  • i dont know who moutain lions think they are ill just shoot them with my 25-06

  • wow cowboy ain't you a real ruffy tuffy. I bet all the little kids in your neighbourhood are scared of you...personally I just think you are a major wanker...

  • @Roynsam haha nice1

  • Mass. Wildlife officals deny the existence of mountain lions here...but we Baystaters certainly know the difference between a bobcat & a cougar. There have been numerous sightings of cougar here...myself included.

  • i agree with this i have seen a cougar in Northern CT

  • wow.... you're truly clueless... b4igetu

  • why americans still kill the pumas ?

  • They're secretly roaming the British countryside now. They've escaped and survive in the shadows over there.

  • 1. a grizzly can't do whatever he wants to three or four wolves, let alone an entire pack.

    2. one male lion can't chase off as many hyenas as he wants. hyenas are more likely to steal a lion kill than the other way around.

    3. if anyone is going to try to chase off hyenas, its going to be the lionesses.

  • actually hyenas have no fear of a lioness, they often piss off lionesses and steal the kill if no males are around. hyenas fear male lions, male lions easly kill hyena, when ever they are in his sight.

  • actually hyenas really have no fear of lionesses. once the lioness number starts to grow the hyenas usually run away, but when its one lioness or two the hyenas sit there picking on them and attacking them.

Hyenas are terrified of male lions, as soon as the male comes on the scene the hyenas scatter, the males chase them killing any they catch.

but its true lots of times when males aren't around hyenas do take kill from lionesses.

theres multiple videos and info on the internet on this.

  • umm, first off your facts are so off its pathetic..only time ive seen an hyena steal food from a lion is never never on tv newspaper book ..nowhere,,,a single male lion will go after a whole lot of hyenas and they run off like shit they are..only ones they do if they outnumber female lions..bears have hard time with pack of wolves..and yes mountain lion wont ever back off from a bear..a full grown male mountain lion..can take down 10-12 times its own weight..and so theres no problem there.fact!

  • you hurt my feelings

  • Agreed.Male lions will kill a hyena just for being in it's presence.

  • Your talking from your ass. A hyena wouldn't dare attack a male lion, even in packs.

  • at least i can talk from my ass, when your boyfriends over its probably hard for you to get a word in.

  • yeah, and cougars aren't classified as big cats. they can't roar.

  • there's always a chance that those things could happen

even if its a small percentage

and a lot of the time male lions have to fend for themselves b/c they don't belong to a pack

  • Cougars are a part of the panthera family and, therefore, are considered in the "big cat," classification.

  • the latin classification is actually Felis concolor, i always thought they were big cats too, until i read that.

  • They are still a part of the order panthera.

  • Wait a minute, I see what you're saying. You're talking about cats being able to roar and the sub classification made by this. I've never liked this label as "panthera" from the Asian means yellow beast and is often used to refer to all big yellow cats.

  • Cougars are part of the felis family not the panthera. true big cats like lions, tiger, and leopards, can roar, while the cougar cannot. the true big cats also have a longer broader head, while the cougars head is shorter, and more like a circle.

snow leopards are considered panthera because of the second factor, which is there head, being long and broad. snow leopards also cant roar.

  • Yes felis is right, I had a mental meltdown when I posted that, obviously. Felis, in and of itself is a classification of big cat, although not in the sense of the roaring panthera. Thanks for the clarification.

  • Did you fogret the jaguar(panthera onca).?

  • I was just giving examples but yes the Jaguar is also in the Panthera family.

  • Good vid but I think that America's largest cat species is the jaguar. Y'know they may weigh as much as 270 pounds.

  • beutiful animals eh

  • wow!

  • OMG a full grown male grizzly can do whatever he wants no wolf pack and it does not matter how many can chase off o male , i mean look at lions and hyenas , 1 MALE lion can chase off almost how many hyenas he wants , ( not lionesses ofcourse) and hyenas are more powerful than a wolf and a male grizzly is more powerful than a male lion.

  • i found 3 things incorrect with what Patsi24 said

    who can find all 3?

  • ooohh

    i love games!

    loolololol

  • lol name all 3!

  • idk...everything!

    lol

  • lol pattiwaggins got it

  • you only found 3??? you weren't looking too hard then were you?

  • much more pwerful then male lion? i really think grzzly has no chance...mountain lion has no prob with grizzlies and i know lion wont

  • A large mature male Grizzly bear could kill a Mt. Lion quite easily believe it or not.

  • we got a bunch and more then you sasktank

  • ok i got more than you matt9326

  • that was me. Oops! i'm texting myself!hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahhahhahhahhahahahaha

  • that wuz cool!!

    awesomenessss....

  • CANADA'S BIG CAT TOO---we have tons of them

  • and an so small cat whos not even close toa lion or tiger can kill so strong and big preys.

  • its Amzing how Cougar can make Grizzley bears to respect them and leave them alone. cus cougar are not match for grizzley but the grizzley bear douesent attack them eather

  • :45, 1:40 F'n Awesome!

  • Here Kitty! Want some Whiskas?

  • This cat is so beatuiful and this music is perfect for this video.

  • cougars rock!

hey peeps watch my icon XD ya its a cougar XD LOL

  • i love this big cat

  • grr fuck up!

    DONT KILL EM ALL!

    dont listen to this bastard

  • The only killing machines are humans!! I,ve been to a zoo one day and i saw a sign that said: "Come in and see the world,s worst predator" I walked in and i was looking into a mirror.

Don,t forget animals such as big cats have a right to live too!!

  • I believe that bit about the mirror is written in Yan Martel's Life of Pi. But yes obviously human beings are the most dangerous animals on the earth. Even something as technologically primitive as a gun ensures that even the most powerful man on the planet could be killed (thanks to firearms) from a five year old kid.

  • Then, should we kill OURSELVES?

Love, we ARE the dominant predators, we kill everything that we DO NOT understand, or don't wish to even understand. If we leave them alone, then they, more often than not, will leave us alone, unless they are scared, hurt, or sick.

  • that was towards Hubbars5. ._.;

  • No, we kill everything that we understand too. Sad, huh?

  • Actually the cougar is gonna be in trouble soon, there are reports that the Jaguar is back in the United States.

  • cougers are the number one hunters

  • song title?

  • OMG...great video. there are some awesome shots in here. :-) what a gorgeous kitty.

  • Might be the biggest, but certainly not the most ruthless. Did you know that a house cat is the number one ruthless cat in the world? Thats because it only kills for fun, not for food.
