THANKS SOO MUCH PAUL YOU GAVE ME A 87% IN MY LANGUAGE GRADE, WITHOUT YOU I WOULDNT HAVE GOTTEN IT, I OWE ALOT MAN THANKS SO MUCH!!!! MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALWAYS AND GOD BLESS!!!!
does the verb always have to have an "ED" at the end? if not can u plz give me some examples of verb or tell me what a verb is? and what does "modify" mean
Something that will always throw me off is two-word long verbs. Never have I been so frustrated when trying to find the verbs for the noun like I do when locating all the verbs in a clause, especially when trying to locate appositives. I don't seem to struggle with finding phrases because I know they can't stand alone and thus, when I read a sentence with a phrase, I can always find it. But finding the exact words of the phrase just lose me so easily... [W]ill stay, [W]ill . . . visit.
um for the first example. You need two independent clauses, but you used one independent and one dependent clause because you said "them" so technically you know... your kinda wrong right? EX: Sorry if I am wrong about the comment, but I was taught that using "them" would make it a dependent sentence. -Honors English Class 7th grade 2010-2011
@Xanith83 -- "I washed the dishes, and my wife dried them."
It wouldn't be a tragedy to exclude the comma, but there are two clauses: I washed the dishes. My wife dried them. Each clause has a subject and a verb. You wouldn't use a comma in a sentence with one subject: I washed and dried the dishes.
i am 10 you heled me alot thanks

@2lateforyou What does that make the word "either" in those phrases?
