Gillibrand, along with Cuomo, absolutely did create the subprime mortgage mess that nearly bankrupted our economy, and they did it in collusion with the corrupt ACORN. Gillibrand and Cuomo bullied banks, vis a vis threats of racism charges, into providing risky loans to people who couldn't afford them. So, it's no surprise that Gillibrand was one of only seven Senators to vote against the federal ban on taxpayer funding of ACORN.
