mines already turbo'd.. manufactured end of 93 sold as 94 w stock tubo. decided to go w the ats upgrade and add an intercooler

Are they VGTs or fixed vanes? VGTs dont have much lag, and neither do ball bearing turbos. The 7.3 is one of the best motors ever built and put in a truck. It and the 5.9 will out last any other motor out there.

amen 400k on my 96 psd and still runnin strong as hell. inline are great too. and wats funny is ford owns cummin or has rights to them i should say. but did yal know internat. has a 7.6 litre inline 6. haha imagine if ford hit them up for that motor. can u say pullin a fuckin house down the interstate doin 75 like nuthin is back there hahaha. now that would be a badazz truck!!!!

You fail at the interwebs. Ford owns NO PART of Cummins any more. They did for a few years WAY BACK in the 90's.

It was about 15%. Not only that Cummins has a 8.3L inline diesel. so what? Ford is breaking and canceling it's contracts with International. The next diesel out of Ford will be in house.

Please stop spreading rumors that haven't been true since the SECOND you heard them.

ur right ford no longer owns any stake in cummins....but u are wrong about how much and when they sold out...

for baught them up to just over 50% and held them from releaseing the 6.7 untill they could flood the market with 6.0 psd's...however that failed because of all the bugs the 6.0 had........sorry but you my friend are in the wrong....and its no rumor....look it up....facts not forums

I have looked it up. FORD HAS NEVER OWNED CUMMINS. Ford owned Cummins SHARES, but were way too little like 10-15% as an agreement to help them get out of the red.

Ford has never been on the board of Cummins. YES IT IS A RUMOR. as you said FACTS not Forum.

If ford prevented the release of the 6.7 why did the ONLY 2010 clean diesel come out in 2007? Because Cummins was behind? No. In fact they are still the only 2010 legal diesel. get out of the early 90's it's 2009.

no its a diesel. diesels have hot and a lot of exhaust flow so that allows larger turbo's to be used.

I'm guessing these turbos r larger than standard, all turbo diesels have a little lag, especially the smaller ones like my 1.8td, lag till 2500rpm, then governor at 4500rpm!my engine was not designed for a turbo origionally, like mazda 12 valve 2.5tdi.

these turbos are ABOUT 3 times the size of a stock turbo, each, but all you need to do is throw some extra fuel at it and it spools very quickly, there's a video of this truck on the street on here somewhere... search for wide open performance maybe?? but it spools very quickly for the size of them...
