I tell you all, this is the formula of successful canto-pop songs:
Fixed Canton-pop melody (predictable background music and encore part of the song), nothing special. love songs, silly lyrics about relationship and break-away, "pure" and "clear" voice for the singer or vocalist,
I really hope to kick all the canto-pop songs away.
I thought my comment would be blamed by many hong kongers or at least i would get many thumbs down for this. luckily, I got some thumbs up for my last comment.
I am Cantonese too, I like non-canto pop more. Not that I am foreignized, you have eyes and you can see that canto-pop from 70's to 90's are better than nowadays. If you knew music and popular cultures, you would probably think the same too.
