  • Can u put the egg inside also??

  • @komjong

sorry.. what you mean.. inside ?? I put one egg in the ramen.

  • @komjong

yeah, crack it open. and 라면 tastes mild. I wouldn't do that. Put some tuna in instead. with chilli pepper.

  • oh my god you are crazy.... I tried this and the shin ramyun is so spicy.. eating kimchi with it is suicide!

  • Another great and simple recipe. Yum!

  • after my friends trying shin ramen, they r like F America!!! LOL

  • I'm so hungry right now!

  • Does anyone just randomly pull up this shit when they're bored, or is it just me?

  • that.. loooks delicious.

  • I love this song!! 김종국 in his Turbo days :) Actually when Turbo first started I was only 3. But this is such a classic Turbo song :)

  • i luv that brand of lamyun

  • I;m eating Shin Ramyun now while watching this vid =D

  • @aHGirlL

    I envy you.. lol

  • ok i have a question, im from another country, and i dont think there's no kimchi here.. so how can i make it?

  • @lore110696

then.. you have to make it without kimchi.. it will be still good..

  • @lore110696 So there are SOME kimchi? .... Double negative.

  • I love eating shin ramyun but I can only eat it with 1/3 of the spice powder. LOL!^^

  • OK So I am to lazy to make kimchi. There is a international store down the street. Is there a brand of packed kimchi you suggest?

  • @LoliJRockDramaLover1

not really.. and different states sell different brand kimchi i guess.. so hard to tell.. ^^

  • @LoliJRockDramaLover1

There was an article online that taste tested Kimchi brands. Maangchi, another youtuber who teaches korean food was on the panel. They rated a brand called "tobagi" to be the best store bought kimchi. Depending on where you live hmart's online store will ship. Do a google search for "Kimchi Taste Test" it will lead you to a couple of sites that have tested kimchi brands.

  • @OoPandaGirl89oO Thank you so much!

  • MSG central!

  • shin ramyun is my favorite brand of ramyun ever!!! ^_^

  • Seriously, if its the seasoning packet you all are worried about, just omit it and use soy sauce or broth from a can.

  • That ramen is everywhere xD Must be very popular xD

  • I will have to try putting kimchi into my ramyeon and the green onion and seaweed, too. I normally add the egg already. Yum.

  • I am half Korean and we always have a huge stash of Shin Raymun. Everyone of my kids friends that come to the house have tried them and are now addicted. They can't seem to go back to the american ramen and ask their parents to buy it. I am trying to get them to eat Kimchi but they won't try it. I have never thought to put the Kimchi in the noodles but they might actually eat it this way

  • @SoCalMizfit

Yes, try kimchi in it.. they will like it. Thanks for sharing korean food with your friends. :) I hope my son (he is also a half korean) grows and loves korean food like you. :) thanks

  • is shin ramyun halal?

  • @zzzz755

    what is.. halal ??

  • @aeriskitchen halal as in kosher. Its a term Muslims use for something that is meatless or that has nothing that comes from an animal such as gelatin or chicken powder, etc.

  • @aeriskitchen halal has no pork . No pork allowed

  • @aeriskitchen halal means no pork ,lard and it will have a sign or symbol at the package of the product stating that it's halal if there;s no such symbols or word that means it's not halal. =)

  • @aeriskitchen uhh halal means it is okay for Muslims to eat it,means there's no pork, lard, gelatin etc or anything to do with alcohol and pork.

  • @aeriskitchen which means no pork and no lard and foods that are halal will have the symbol

  • @aeriskitchen Halal is like there is no pork inside

  • @zzzz755 it's not halal, i wasn't sure, but after i googled it, the broth from shin ramyun is a mixture of lots of spices and beef stock (too spicy to tell) ^^ but you can still make ur own "halal style shin ramyun" using just the noodles and adding gochugaru and halal kimchi into the soup among other toppings.

@aeri halal are certain aspects that act as laws among muslim followers, in food is applied to several things, like no eating pork or animals wo wheren't killed in the name of their god.

  • @zzzz755 Well obviously the noodles are halal but i am not quite sure about the seasoning. They only seem to be a blend of red chili powder and other spices but i could be wrong.

  • @zzzz755 LOL HALAL

  • @zzzz755 LOOOL since the company is korean and not arabic I dont think so.

  • @zzzz755

Wow.. many people answered about this question..thanks for all.. if halal is no pork and no alcohol as others said.. I think.. shin ramyun is okay for it. thanks

  • @zzzz755 shin ramyun use pork

  • @oooocube how u know?

  • @zzzz755 its written on the back. 돈지(pork fat (not sure)), 돈골(pork bone)

Most of the ramen have pork contents.

  • I eat the exact same ramyeon as her

  • is the song from turbo? hihi

  • @1998shasha

    you are right ^^

  • U cook the noodles too long

  • @sonnypat3

it can be my stove.. I measured the time to write down exact recipe.. I don't like over cooked noodles either.. so.. ^^:; anyway.. thanks for comment.

  • you just gave me an idea to make my noodles now. i eat those all the time! thanks!

  • I tried this! Thank you very nice and spicy;)

  • Turbo <3 ahahaha

  • damnit im so hungry now and i have no noodles TT

  • Stoner!!!

  • If you live in the uk I've found a websute where you can order the noodles online from Wing Yip Store

search for noodles called Nong Shim Korean Shin Ramyun:)

  • why we need to break the egg yolk?

  • @Applejam624

you don't have to do if you don't want..but I like to break mine.. hehe..

  • how to make instant soup Lmao

  • Finally, someone recognizes that ramen is not actually food. :D You have to add a lot to it to make it food, lol.

  • shin ramyun is my favourite!

  • nice...i love putting kimchi in my noodle as well, but the way i do it is a little different. i put the kimchi in near the end after the egg bcoz i want the kimchi flavor to stay with it when i eat it.

also, i think it's bad to break the noodle into half, that way the noodle wont be as long and as good looking.

  • 오래 익히신 라면 좋아하시나봐요

    맛있겟네요 :)

  • hi again!! i tried all the Asian in my area, but i couldn't find any korean but when i tried with the once i had and it was well.... not good so i don't know wat 2 do?

    help

  • @rajanpillai1

I didn't try other country ramen much.. except American ones..but definately.. the flavor and texture for noodles are much different..and the soup base taste far different too.. that's why your wasn't good for kimchi ramen recipe..

  • Made me so hungry......... I love korean ramyon... I love kimchi.... gamsahamnida!

  • hi aeri I can't get shin ramyun in my conutry is normal instant noodle okay??

    ; )

  • @rajanpillai1

I don't know what you mean by normal instant noodle ?? you mean... your country ramen noodle ?? I think..each country ramen taste different.. so.. if you can't get shin ramen.. at least some Korean brand spicy ramen will work for this recipe. or you can try the instant noodle you have and let us know if it works too. :) thanks

  • Shin Ramyun = heavenly

  • The first time I tried this "instant" noodle in Korea.

I was like, hmmm, this ramyeon is really GOOOOODDDD. Like seriously.

  • 봉지라면은 옆으로 뜯으면 쉬운데

  • @yacha333

    그러게요..^^ 옆으로 뜯었어야 하는데.. ㅋㅋㅋ

  • Aww this video made me realize how hungry i am right now and remember Kim JongKook..

  • turbo's nero :D love it and totally love shin ram yeon best brand ever thats for the video :D

  • I made this tonight for a quick dinner for myself and I must say it is very yummy. Going to be very hard to resist making this all the time. Thanks for the video!

  • the way you cook instant noodles are exactly the same as i do!! people always ALWAYS told me to cook the noodles first and then discard the water that i used to cook the noodles because they think there are wax on the noodles and by cooking, the hot water eliminates the wax from the surface of the noodles... :S dont really care much about that! :P rock on aeriskitchen! love watching your videos! :P

  • Oh I happen to have the exact same brand you use !! But I don't have kimchi here D: I think I will bring the noodle back to my parent's home where I have some kimchi ! om nom nom :D

  • I made shrimp ramen today for my uncle and myself. It turned out really good. i cracked two quill eggs in mine because of my spring alergy. It was sooo spicy, i just loved it. Can't wait to make some kimchi and try this recipe. <3

  • is it necessary to break the yolk? i prefer to eat the whole egg :)

  • @sarahtran88 It's very, very common to break the yolk in Korea, but I myself eat about a third of my bowl of ramen with it intact, then break the yolk. =d

  • @sarahtran88

You can do whatever you want with the yolk. ^^ thanks

  • i normally add A LOT of kimchi ;P GUILTY!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ!!! ^^

  • haha i tried this one then i add some tofu and spam hot and spicy and really taste yum too. the noodle is kinda bit chewy but delicious :)

  • My korean friend Hansol told me to try Shin Noodles. I remember the first time I tried, my face was red, I was sweating, my nose was running and I kept coughing.

But it was the most delicious spicy ramyum I've ever had <3

  • @spaz0id

hehe.. with only your comment, I could picture that moment really well.. hehe cute.. thanks :)

  • Comment removed

  • I loveee shim ramyun, I only eat that XD and Ima go try it out now :3

  • I love Turbo! Shocked to hear them played as your background! :DD

  • shin ramyun is the best........my whole family and almost all of my friends eat this.......

im so thankful that this product is available in the UK :)

  • MMmm this makes me hungry! Love how you cook the dishes! Its very clear and helpful. Thank you! ^^

  • i love this ramyun and i love this song! makes me want to go watch the episode of family outing when they sang karaoke to this song :)

  • I wish I could try some!! Looks yummy!

  • hey hey hey i know what type of ramen your using

    1. because im korean and could read it

    2. becuz i have it at my house

    Its shin ramyun

  • @jacobchung1 Um...aeri's Korean, too ^.^

  • Music was horrid to my ears but my taste buds can certainly agree with that bowl of ramen.

  • this made me so hungry :(

  • ahh never mind. I see you are in Pennsylvania.

  • I love the 1950's stove you are using. What do all those buttons do? Do you by chance live in the Midwest (chicago area)? If you don't like the smell of regular kimchi you should stir fry it with a little oil, onions, those pink/white fish cakes, and garlic. I not particularly fond of fresh kimchi but stir fried they smell and taste very good.

  • @iateyourham

lol.. We bought our first house from an old couple when we gor married..they left some kitchen appliance like the stove... and as you said.. it's very old.. ^^ haha.. how did you know I live in PA ?? ^^ thanks

  • Ah, Shin Ramen is so spicy but it looks so good. My mouth is watering right now.

  • 라면도 끓어 먹을수 없는 내 처지 ㅠㅠ

  • So hungry now xD

But, could you stil cook this with adding a lot less of the spicy packet? Cos I had Shin Ramyun Noodle Cup and it blew my head off xD

  • @AnnyeongBaby

yes.. you can add smaller amount of spicy packet if it's too spicy to you.

  • @aeriskitchen I love Shin Ramyun, my Best friend turned me on to that stuff when I was about 13 years old, it was the hottest stuff I ever had. I acted all tough because I didn't want to look like a sissy,I would only add a little bit of the seasoning with A BUNCH of water and act like I added it all, lol now days I don't have much water, and use the whole pack, also, i like to add 2 eegs, some carrot and green onion in there, I never thought of using kimchi, I'm going to try this tomorrow ty :)

  • @AnnyeongBaby the cup for some reason is spicier then the packet of ramen, or so i have noticed.

  • I LOVE SHIN! :D

  • cooked, uncooked, overcooked, undercooked, stale or fresh, gimme this specific korean noodle (the packet one) and i can totally eat every bit of it...and definitely cooking this ramen! thank u soo much!! GO GO KOREAN FOODS!!! lol...

btw m not a korean... buh just am a pig wen it cums to korean foods... ;))

  • Aeri dont listen to these people,I didnt really know how to boil the ramen well anyways lol :D

  • @beatricexox

    thanks ^^

  • @aeriskitchen your welcome by the way I find if you cut some spam and put it in it tastes really good!

  • It stinks so bad.

  • oh wow it looks so good thanks for uploading

  • haha another great recipe, I like twists on things like this

  • man... ): I'm so hungry for korean ramyeon ); Im gonna make it right now !!!!! LOL.

  • i love shin ramyun too. sometimes i make yakisoba with the noodles and put the spice packets in with rice while it's cooking. it goes great with kalbi! XD

  • D= fail... 다 퍼졌잖아 ㅠ_ㅠ

you gotta add the egg when you put in the noodles, and when it starts to loosen up, stir it up abit (don't touch the egg)

and lower the heat at that point to mid.

Then you raise the noodle up and down letting it meet the cold air

you get nice textured ramyun! try it :D

  • @HOLYDSFA that's a lot of techniques on how to cook the best ramyun

  • @thepandalala

Thanks for commenting to valkyrieXX instead of me... I don't like to see you get not that positive reply from him. I didn't know that you had some trouble here until today. I'm sorry and I hope you didn't get hurt by it. It's sad that people attack others.

  • yes ! the egg is so crucial. i like to throw some spam in there too sometimes.

  • Damn...

The only Kimchi we get in my island comes in a plastic bag that says "made in china" and the spicy powder that comes with it makes you explosive dhiarrhea

Wish I could try real korean food

    Thanks for sharing

  • @kemita

Oh.. I hope you can try real korean food too. if you can find the ingredients you can make your own kimchi with my recipe. thanks

  • @thepandalala

hey fuck face.. how stupid do you think I am to listen to a retard like you? lol

want some more faggot? bring it on!

  • @thepandalala

you are call me stupid for a typo?

if you have any kind of intelligence, you would have noticed that I spelled illiterate correctly in my first post...

who's the immature idiot leaving unnecessary a comment and start a childish fight?

did I leave a comment on your post first?

    dumb fuxk tard...

  • @thepandalala

I was saying that she's cooking too long and the following is your statement criticising my comment:

" it's not like you are obligated to cook it over 3 mins. "

you tell me if you are illeterate or mentally retarded...

    thank you! come again~

  • @thepandalala

are you illiterate? I am saying that she's cooking it too long!

the noodles will cook / bloat even when you are eating them so slightly undercooking them is the way to go...

BTW, what the heck is she doing with the egg anyways? why is she torturing it like that?! lol

  • I made this today for the first time, and it came out exactly like yours! Except I didn't add kimchi, but it tasted good to me! Thanks Aeri! <3

  • i bought a box(24 packs) of this noodle and i swear that after eating half of those...just the smell of this noodle will make me full.

  • I actually thought you were going to make it from scratch, but this is good too! Thanks.

  • 5 1/2 minutes is wayyy too long imo. 2 minutes max for slightly chewy noodles that don't dissolve into mush as soon as you put them in your mouth.

  • @yurkler

I think it's depending on person.. some people prefer to eat not chewy noodle..and depending on the stove you have ...the time can be different too.. for this recipe, I measured the time to post... yes.. I like slightly chewy noodle too..but need to be cooked enough too. anyway.. thanks for your opinion :)

  • @valkyrieXX

I wanted to show one way to cook Korean ramen.. since I added kimchi in it. Have you ever tried that way before ? You might surprise that some people don't know how to cook instand ramen.. so it can be more complex than boiling water. My noodle was not like udon.. I just measured the time when I made this recipe ... so it's either my preference for noodle or my stove.. if you didn't like my instruction for this video. sorry about that.. I hope you will not have any more argument.

  • @valkyrieXX I cook my ramen another way, You don't have to follow the directions. ^^

  • ummm.. yumme yummy!!!

  • shin ramen is the best!

  • Me and my friends love Shin Ramyun~!!

Will try adding kim chi next time :)

  • I really love kimchi ramyun, and I like it to be really spicy. So I added 1 teaspoon of chili powder and a bit of gochujang. Beef and sesame seed also goes well with this dish.

  • I've been eating shin ramyun like this for forever, but somehow, I never thought of cooking it with kimchi. It looks absolutely delicious! Though I do like to substitute half of the soup powder with granulated dashi, since I find that the full packet is a bit too spicy and I love the flavor of dashi with the ramen. I think I'll be trying this very soon! Thanks!

Thank you for making me hungry!!!!!!!!!

  • 검은 고양이~~~~~ best song ever and so cute ^^

  • in my opinion it is not korean ramyeon with out egg.....I use egg, green onion dashima, perella leaves shitake mushroom and chilli powder ^^ sometimes tteok gook tteok and ham but ALWAYS EGG lol hehehe

  • i eat it straight out of the pot...i was actually thinking that you should have dumped all of the ramen into the bowl, but i guess for the video.....

  • oh black cat !!!! i love it

  • this makes me hungry..

  • yum yum

  • Haha. Big Bang danced to this song. (:

I love all of your videos.

They just keep making me hungry. XD

  • @aeriskitchen thanks

  • the noodles are cooked way too long... but tasty nonetheless

  • @chewchoo

for the recipe.. I used timer to get the time.. it was just great for me... ^^ hehe..

  • What is the name of this song? It sounds very nice and I think I heard it somewhere, but I do not remember. T.T

  • @MidnightV1993

    Title: 검은 고양이 ^^

  • hey, i just did mine, it was terrible

  • @sovlfrja

    Oh.. how come ~~~

  • @aeriskitchen idk.... i didn't had green onion, maybe that's why... and something about my kimchi...
