No where on the internet there is a video on how to use this. I already unlocked this. But the option to use blood mage powers is not anywhere in my players skills or talents. can someone please help

So all you have to do is talk to this girl and say that I do not need the boy and she'll teach you blood magic or is their more to it? I heard you have to do all the side quests in order to learn blood magic. Is this true?

Btw, once you unlock it, you can always re-load then do it the "good" way if you didn't want to play an evil mage character. Once unlocked, it's unlocked for the whole game, for all characters.

Hey, i followed the guide and did the deal for Blood Mage with the desire demon, afterwards there was a prompt saying i've got the Blood Mage specialization yet i can't see any of the spells etc... in my inventory? Did i do something wrong? Thanks

@iTerror1ze no you only unlock the ability to use blood magic but none of the spells are unlocked....yet

@boorulzz Aparently there's an easy exploit. If you load a save of the possessed boy mission and make a deal with the desire demon you'll have bm when you reload your latest save.

So what everyone's saying is that if your character is *not* a mage, there is absolutely no way to unlock the blood mage specialty? -_-

I had to choose Morrigan or Wynne. Wynne's options are: (converse with demon) and (force a final confrontation), both of which end in battle. I'll try Morrigan, but I don't have much hope for it to work.

@balkthor Sorry but your main character has to be a mage in order to unlock it. There's a console command to unlock all the specs though so you can always just look up the console commands in the Dragon Age wiki and use that.

You know what's awesome? I had started a mage but quit half way through to draw a dwarf. Lo and behold, when out of sheer curiosity I swapped back to him to see if I could just power through to the plot point, he was standing in front of Jowen and the chick (Isolde?) ready to decide whether or not to enter the fade or kill the boy. 2 minutes later, blood mage unlocked ^.^

sorry, is this when you enter the Fade when in the 'Circle of Magi'? When trying to recrute the templars+ mages

@PSNDeathrader85 No, this is during the Arl of Redcliffe quest. First off, your main character has to be a mage. Then, free Jowan in the castle and let Isolde sacrifice herself so that Jowan can open up a portal to the fade. Enter the fade with your main mage and talk to the Desire Demon in the fade. One of the conversation options you can choose from unlocks the Blood Mage spec.

@landesal It's an Arcane Warrior Mage (aka uses melee attacks along with spells). Sword+Shield is better than Sword+Dagger though.

Haha sorry to hear that. Just load up a previous save, get the demon to unlock BM spec, then reload your newest save and it should still be unlocked. Or, I've included a save file of the character in this video in the "more info" that you can use/load in DA:O. Load up the save file and you'll be right in front of the demon (like in this video) and if you do exactly what I did in the video, BM will be unlocked and you can then load your game and it'll still be unlocked.

hehe damn so its the demon that gives the spec *Facedesk* I'll have to redo that part over JUST for the BM spec.
