WOW this story is sooooo similiar to mine. Only I didn't go to a horse race, I was on a indie movie set in high heels for 12 hours and dancing in them. I didn't feel any pain until I was asleep and then whammy I woke up screaming thinking I had foot cramps. They went away and I was better for a week and then all these otehr weird things happened to my foot like you. A sports medicine doctor with the help of MRI's and a neurologist helped diagnose me.

@marriedtoajason Lol - I am simultaneously saddened and overjoyed to meet you, have been screaming out against high heels on my own for so long! They are truly evil!! Getting rid of them on ebay was a nice cleanse and a big surprise that people want to buy someone else's old shoes... If you have the opportunity to try an inpatient pain rehab program, I strongly recommend it. A year on crutches ended up starting a spread that never stopped for me. Inpatient helped me walk straight again :)
