I unlocked a Fido phone (Canadian) 3gs using this and I thought it had worked, but now it can't find the network! In fact there isnt even a network tab. Very strange, anyone know what to do?

this was an incredible feat at the time. Breaking the iPhone's baseband, being able to support any carrier, unlocking it, no carrier bundles, just plug and play support with no hardware changes, on the "unlockable" 2.0 firmware. This is old, and easy now, but great at the time.

hi, I need help ... when i tried to restore my iphone, which was already unlocked with ziphone and being used without at&t , it turned on but a message came out saying to connect it to itunes, which said that the sim card was not authorized and it didn't turn on. .which I don't have anymore because my plan expired. the iphone is the old version and I was trying to upgrade it to 2.0. the restore looked like it worked but I just can't turn it on .what should I do?? no it comes with the app store which is just the same

Actually installer is an open source package manager while app store only has what apple will approve in it (no emulators, themes ect.)

People who don't know 2.0 can only be unlocked if you have 1gen iphone and a mac. PC users have to wait and 3g phone are only jailbroken and activated on mac.

Yeah both the "pwn" and the custom fw i is revertable, u just lock it in the bootneuter, and restore the phone with stock fw. And from what i've heard the pwnage tool should be able to patch any comming fw, incl. the 2.0 beta, which i s out now,
