The Adam's apple bit was a rather smart symbol placed by the writers that would show Cassie that she should face the consequences of her actions, or maybe a symbol of a new start. i guess she also misses her friends, especially sid.

that was an awsome episode, despite what most of you say. Cassie went to New York to show that it didnt matter how far you run, it doesnt change anything. Adam was Cassies match, they were both so much alike, he made her understand. And her eating the apple at the end, its a sign of change, truth and responsibilty. Hasnt any 1 ever heard of Adam and Eve?
