you have to remove the cause why teeth have spaces. if you put braces on after orthodontic treatment the teeth will go back having spaces because the cause is not eliminated. After frenum surgery it is best to put braces or other appliance indicated for the case... good job doctor!
It looked like he had gloves on, just very thin ones. I just had this surgery last week, to help my upper dentures fit better and hold a better suction, plus so that string of skin would stop getting rubbed so raw and sore. It was a very quick recovery, the worst part was the IV lol so if you need this surgery, don't sweat it. Fast recovery, very little pain afterwards, just stay on track with your pain pills for about 3 - 5 days. It feels so much better now when I wear my upper dentures.
I've watched a lot of frenectomies (labial, maxillary), and this guy totally was the most slice/chop happy of the lot. The others done it with some precision, he just chopped away.
Hi. I got a question, I got frenectomy done a little over two months ago. Not only the frenulum but the gum between the front two teeth were also removed during the surgery. After the surgery I discovered that my upper two front teeth are slanting, in a way that the bottom of the two front teeth is closed ( Due to orthodenture treatment that I'm taking) and there was a 1mm gap on the upper region of the front two teeth after the gum was removed frm b/w the front two teeth during the surgery.
Its been over 2 months now, and the gap between the upper region of the front two teeth is not closed yet n I can see the gum between the two teeth growing back. It has started to cover my teeth again. And whenever I visit my ortho, he can't see the gap because the gap gets covered under the saliva. And this is why he hasn't been able to close the gap yet. Is the growth of gum between the teeth after frenectomy normal?
Is the frenum growing back? Will this gum drift my front two teeth apart once I'm off braces? Do I need to go for frenectomy again? Please do reply. Nothing seems to help. I can't afford to have braces again. This is my first and last chance. Tell me that I'm worrying uselessly.. I'm really obsessed with teeth. I dream of having a gorgeous smile. I don't want to lose that dream. Please reply in case you have the answer. I'd be really indebted to you.
was a z-plasty really necessary? frenectomy and interdental bone removal i understand, but the z plasty seems excessive, anybody shed some light please?? why could there not be a simple closure of the mucosa as the interdental area was not included in the plasty anyway. nice result though
all i'm going to say is that to me it really takes courage to get this thing done i wanna a closure but i don't have money for that yet =( anyway if anyone knows the price for this please reply 5*!
Us, too - but these were recorded in the 70s before gloves were standard. We figured it's better to get these videos out there than not post them, even though there are no gloves.
I thought moving teeth wold require braces and months of time + wearing retainers later. The person on the video just moved them instantly, isn't that going to damage the ligaments or the roots of the teeth and cause extreme pain + tooth loss to the patient?
the whole time im like ouch ouch ouchie!!
