im a hardgainer and i i saw progress when was training one muscle a day and leave the gym .dont do a diet y dont need it if y r a hardgainer y will still be ripped ..2 times per week cardio...that worked for me
@johndoeshar bodyweight, you are limited to pushups, dips, crunches. Id suggest you go right to the weights with a very basic program. Message me if you have any questions.

Dude, bodybuilding muscles aren't boxing muscles. Bodybuilding works slow twitch muscles for the most part for hypertrophy. If you wan't to gain a little muscle (cause u can't gain a lot while being a boxer) because there's too much cardio and muscle burning, start doing squats, deadlifts, bent over rows etc. You're just trying to gain, to cut more water and be bigger in your class, right?
THis guy is talking a lot of common sense but he really should seperate himslef form this main stream Bs contest etc. he seems to be at one of those. And yes i totally agree...the hardgainer term has done a lot of harm

you should be eating a meal every 2-3 hours
aiming for around 6-8 meals a day
you want 250-500 more calories in your diet daily
if your metabolism is very fast then you may need more
make sure that you have rest days inbetween work outs because its that time when your recorering is where the muscle tissue and fibre will grow back.
train hard, i advise mid reps mid sets
so 5 x 5 is an excellent set and reps to start at. make sure you keep a good form when doing the excercise
