If I were you don't download metasploit on your pc becuase there are a lot of process running while your not running metasploit. It make your pc slow. Use bt or get ms on a VMWare

one noobish question: if you are planning on attacking another computer, you must know the password, username, etc. of the database right?

@Ganokbcn The database is created by you... You are not attacking it. The database is used to store information about a network or computer you are attacking.

You don't have to use a database to attack a computer, but it makes it a lot easier.
