  • It could have been better. The destruction isn't that good. It reminds me of Mercenaries 2 and how unrealistic the destruction was.

  • i love this this game andi play RFG AND RFA all the time but buildings collapse to easy where is the real challenge like you destroy the roof a mountin of rubble just ripes it to shreed real life it wouldent i wish you could set the diffucluty of building colapse and a rebuilder too reconstruct

  • Load of crap. Ive had buildings stand with only 1 support beam on once side of the building

    There are also mods that enhance it even further.

    Everything just falls apart and disappears into the ground... and smoke covers any physical destruction that we could see.

  • @PSNDonutDude because it would take a whooole lot of time and a whoooooole lot of computer memory to process each polygon, and its destructibility.

  • geeze man, some of you people are expecting wayyy too much from the destruction in this game. to make a game as perfect as everyone wants it would take years and years.

  • Although the destruction of this game rocks,there is no stress in buildings,most buildings only fall down when they are completely in the air,though this game can simulate many buildings at one time,this game still is very fun!

    Dead Island is supposed to have a multi-layered damage system with skin, muscle, bones, etc. for the characters. It's developing rather slowly, though.

  • the pieces of debris after destruction still look like single pieces of clean geometry being detached from their parental group. No real fracturing and additional detailed geometry

    Still more complex than most stuff out there. I mean these chunks while precomputed still react to each other.

    No, you could not make holes into everything. Not to mention there was a limit for how much damage you could actually do.

  • @ronny0ragtroll still this is the ONLY real physics based engine that permit a total real time distruction...if this engine get implemented the DMM this would be the most advanced physics engine in human history...

  • @ronny0ragtroll I don't know what more you could expect, aside from having millions of geometry pieces, slowing everything down. The sort of splintering that happens to real life structures would take a huge amount of processing power to replicate in a virtual environment. The important thing to remember is that the effects are happening in real time.
