This song was written by the legendary Australian bush poet Banjo Patterson, and tells a sad story. Why on earth did he begin his singing with the last verse? "And his ghost may be heard..." This just doesn't make any sense! Also, he didn't tell any story. And all good music tells a story in my opinion. Totally missing the point! You'd be wise to check out David Ross MacDonald's awesome version of this song. He brings a maturity, sensitivity and real sense of musical art to this song!

He would be a great Wedding singer. Swing, I love swing. And man, is he entertaining.. OTher than his great voice, he also entertains you really well! He acts as if he is at his own show or concert instead of a competition it's great!. And the transformation of this song is really great. I would rather it this way. I like his intentions with this song :)
