Hi Jo, I'm in British Columbia, so I've no stake in this. But as a web user interested in free speech, I think it's an outrage. Here in British Columbia it took some kicking and scremaing before our parliamentary proceedings were televised. Anywhoo, I'll get all my friends and family in the UK to support you on this!
