i would say the 2 best swaps out there are 2jz or Ls1-2-3 ect motors just depends on what your goal is.
If you want track car LS1-2-3 is your best bet can easliy obtain 500hp, and your weight to HP ratio will be better due to the LS motors weighing 350-400 pounds with tranny and 2jz with weighs 726pounds.
Dyno queen or Highway machine its probably a little easier to build a 2jz for that although a L.S. motor is fully capable

@Mkivtt03 I agree somewhat there is allot of false hype surrounding the LS. LS2 is 400crank 350whp stock (my bone stock vg put down 384tq 374whp) after cam intake headers and heads u get abt 475whp but that is like 3500.00. I rebuilt my VG total cost was less than 3000 (stock heads) made 474 at 18psi (32psi max)pump gas meth turned off. shipping weight with tranny 600lbs the LS due to size does have a higher potential WHP but in the stock stages I dnt agree.
@Mkivtt03 My buddy's c5 with the STS TT made 551 whp was considered the safe limit for DD reliable on stock motor I know for a fact the 2J and VG will do 550 stock all day everyday. The C6 Z06 is worth it to me at 454whp stock but that is also a 6k+ motor. Even if I ever got a vette all i wld do is put some 9.0:1 pistons in it (+supporting mods) twin 62/67mm turbos and take advantage of the displacement

Because the 2jz is a bit stronger than the RB stock, parts are more available and its a 3.0L vs a 2.6L and u can stroke it out to a 3.4L
