Apache is attack chopper, hit and run quickly. Or die, because of low survivability under enemy fire. Can be critically damaged by hand guns, unlike Hind. But Apache has better electronics and so on.

I always thought these helicopters were absolutely devastating despite all the flaws they have. Though I have to say my favorite versions of these are not the Russian ones, but the South African made ATE Superhinds that are flown by Algeria. To me those Hinds look the most menacing. The same general profile but with a few more high tech pieces that make it keep it's old style cold war aggressive looks while giving it power for the 21st Century.
Whoa, yeah those things are beasty. But same here, i have always thought that the hind are one of the best family of attack helies. The apache and kamovs and mi-28 are more modern, but none of those can destroy a bunch of tanks, kill infantry and helies and insert a bunch of Spec forces troops at the same time

1. fuel
2. Tendency for the main and tail rotors to occasionally collide.

Whoa, yeah those things are beasty. But same here, i have always thought that the hind are one of the best family of attack helies. The apache and kamovs and mi-28 are more modern, but none of those can destroy a bunch of tanks, kill infantry and helies and insert a bunch of Spec forces troops at the same time

What that does is that it allows people to link their identities with the teams they favor. So if the team wins it feels as almost if you win. Now whenever people have a low self-esteem, it is very easy to take advantage of them. Just give them some information that will make them
feel better and more secure about themselves and they will believe it. Moreover , people will fight for their beliefs.

The stingers that the Taliban acquired long ago is not much use against military aircraft, since it's now very outdated, some don't even work anymore. The ones that do, can still shoot down civilian aircrafts and ones that doesn't have counter measures.

Enough of the sniping between people who think too highly between US And Russian miltary forces, both are elite forces that are some of the best in the world.
Anyways, thanks for hte Mi-24 clip, while not the best (most likely a top five) it is a tough bird which is easy to maintain, and for a lot of counties that is what they need. one Mi-24V basicly kept Serria Leone alive in teh 1990's in its civil war with the RUF.
