  • My dog got parvo at 8 weeks. He started vomiting up blood and just was SICK. They told us it was better to have him put down but despite being super sick he was still trying to play and show us he loved us. There was no way we could give up on him and we told them to treat him. He lived and now is a 14 year old healthy dog that I ADORE beyond words. BTW my dog is mixed with pit bull. Pit bulls are FIGHTERS, no pun intended. I love them and their mixes.

  • I had a pitbull that survived parvo also. I don't know if it was the pitbull or the parvo but she grew up to be the stupidest dog I ever owned. It ended up with lots of strange behavior problems. I don't think the fact that we fed it Pedigree dog food helped but we just didn't know any better. She would lick and lick and lick and not stop, ever. Then when walked she would eat other dogs poo. Very gross for a dog that really liked to lick people. Good luck with your pitbull.

  • @Zresponder Thats the dog personality the only thing Parvo could have done is cause heart problems for the dogs whole life.

  • @Seismostorm Thank you. It makes sense to me. Good luck!
