  • I have worked this train from Vic, and it was supposed to go to Edingburgh via Rochdale, Donny and York.

    The train got as far as Newcastle and was stopped as the OHL had been blown down north of the Border.

    I got off at Newcastle and then back to HM.

    There was only 7 proper guards on EWS in the North of England, they were used on a regular basis on this type of train.

    Anywhere between Chester and Newcastle/Scarborough/Hull/Cle­ethorpes/Leeds /Settle/Carlisle/Worksop etc.
